New survey finds race relation perceptions getting worse

It has been my observation and belief that some people who will deny on a stack of bibles that they have the slightest tinge of racism, are nevertheless racist, if only “in reverse”. It’s amusing, sometimes, to hear it.
It has been my observation that when you hear someone say that they will attest to anything on a “stack of bibles,” you can be sure that they’re about to lie. 😃

I’m gonna look like a racist for this but…

In my area the race relations seem to come down to blacks vs. everyone else.

I.E. Africans in my area seem to hate or be mistrustful of Whites, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, Native Americans, Indians (from India), Portuguese and African-Americans born an raised in Africa.

My source for this? I spend 99% of the people I work with are black, I think I know only four non-black people in my company and one of them is my Uncle.

I was the Controller at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff and at Philander Smith College in Little Rock some decades ago, and was one of less than half a dozen whites in their faculty and administration. My entire department was all-black.

I, and this is as anecdotal as your account, never found any hate or mistrust of me, the other whites in the administration, or of white society as a whole. This is not to say that there wasn’t, and I’m sure there was some, but prejudice and racism seem to me to be “equal opportunity employers.”
