I would think that if they ban declawing then those that want one will simply get one from somewhere else, helping the shelters in other areas at least. I wonder if there could be de-clawing vacations.But a doctor can chop up an unborn human and not serve time?
Cat’s are completely mobile without their claws, they just can’t climb the curtains anymore. Your analogy isn’t a fit.I guess it’s more like clipping a bird’s wings as it removes something integral to what makes a cat a cat. And regarding furniture, I think one can buy furniture that isn’t affected by a cat sharpening its claws.
