That is my point, thank you for making it for me LastStand. None of them, zilch.

No, it subverts your point. A criminal selling a gun to someone is not going to run them through NICS.

haha, the point is that by placing people through a criminal background check we limit the number of persons that can obtain them IF they are ineligible for reasons that are “common sense”.

Your question would make more sense by asking how many might have obtained a gun had they NOT gone through the system. More than likely as well as unfortunately, all of them.

Point being, the system has flaws as does most anything when compared to perfection, but it statistically thwarts sales where there may have otherwise been one, and it kept a gun out of the hands of over one million people that might have otherwise had one.

Another excellent question would be, how many persons fall into the same “denied” category list, know it, and purchase it from a “legal” and legit owner?

If I were a private seller and it was law…I’d think twice at the risk of loosing my own rights.

The system itself even with it’s loopholes works.

So therefore you are just going to kickstart an illegal firearms trade. That reminds me, how is the War on Drugs going again?

If is works as you just admitted, no need to fix it then.

Not if I’m a legit seller and know for fact that I’m not selling to someone who possibly shouldn’t have a gun.

I’m a responsible gun owner, not about to loose ‘my’ rights.

The criminal selling it knowing they would be selling it to someone without a criminal background check, or the criminal buying it? Even if it’s both, statistically it has been proven to thwart gun sales in the hands of the wrong person.

How any Christian can be opposed to a criminal background check for anyone owning a gun is beyond me. I’m a registered nurse and I go through fingerprinting, background checks and drug testing. I don’t operate an instrument of death. I also don’t whine about my background check either.
I presume persons are entitled to know that someone caring for their health and safety is qualified without a background that is criminal.

I’d expect as much from a gun owner as well.

Edited for: I’m on a registry as well.
