Maltese bishop Mario Grech is warning Catholics of “wolves in sheep’s clothing” who wish to introduce divorce to the island nation, and noting that those who reject the teachings of Christ cannot receive holy communion in the Catholic Church.

“Beware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing. And the wolf is now saying he is Catholic. This is a falsity, this is deceit,” Grech told the faithful in a sermon last Sunday.

“I am ready to dialogue with everyone but do not be false, do not lie. You cannot not be loyal to Christ and say you are a Christian or a Catholic. If you are not in communion with Christ’s teachings, you are not in communion with the Church and you cannot receive communion… we cannot pretend to be in communion with the Eucharist, so that everybody can understand me.”

Grech also warned that “to be politically correct and not tell things as they are will lead us to be sorry. There are the brigands among us who are utilizing every means possible to lead the flock astray. They are going after marriage and then other things will follow.”

Amen! Lord, grant that the Bishops remain good and faithful shepherd’s of your flock.
The Book of Destiny by Fr. Herman Kramer was written in the late 1960s. It’s hard to find because it’s been out of print for over 20 years, but it might still be available on-line through used book sellers like abebooks.com.

In this book about Revelation, Fr. Kramer predicted the priesthood would go through scandals due to its shortcomings. But the most interesting is his take on the Vision of the Woman in Chapter 12, which is widely interpreted as that of being Mary. “And a great sign was seen in heaven; a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet …” However, he says this is not Mary, but a symbol of the Church [it can’t be the BVM anyway because at least one event, the birth of her child, supposedly Jesus, has already happened]. The stars in the sky are the bishops, and “third of the stars in the sky” swept down by the dragon’s tail is that third of the bishops of the Church who were unfaithful. So, liberal bishops had better watch out.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Malta an extremely religious country?

I’ve read a couple times about even the media and movies/plays being censored if its too obscene.

I would love to live in a country like that! lol 👍

So all those conservative bishops who are in schism have no need to watch out?

The Woman in Revelation 12 has often been described as Israel, or the Church - anyone but Mary. However, Israel rejected Christ, and Christ gave birth to the Church, not vice versa.

Boy, those 60s were really something, huh?

great post and may God bless the good Bishop 👍

Yes the sixties was a decade of evil

A good bishop. We need more like him, especially in this country!

May our Lord bless you, Bp. Grech.

I hope and pray that all Bishops would adopt a perspective like the one of this Bishop!

Its is an archipelago of small islands in the Mediterranean Sea, about 50 miles south of Sicily. The total area of Malta is about the size of Washington DC.

It frequently gets mentioned when CAF members play the game of finding a better country to live in.
we need a top ten list of catholic places to live.
