Nolte: Last Week’s Fake News Epidemic Led by CNN, Politico, New York Times

JOHN NOLTE 16 Sep 2019 Breitbart News

Thanks to CNN, Politico , and the New York Times, last week was filled with the kind of fake news that used to end prestigious media careers. No more, though. Nowadays publishing fake news is nothing less than a résumé enhancer.

Early in the week, CNN and Politico dumped two MASSIVE pieces of fake news. And then, over the weekend, the Time s said “Hold my beer” with a transparently dishonest smear of Associate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Let’s recap…

The week opened with CNN’s fake news about how President Trump’s mishandling of classified information resulted in the CIA having to pull a key intelligence asset out of the Kremlin. We now know this never happened. Whatever intelligence mishandling it was that forced the asset’s removal, it happened during the — wait for it, wait for itObama administration.

The fake news came from Jim Sciutto, who, like a lot of CNN “reporters,” is a former Democrat operative with a documented history of publishing fake stories. Of course, CNN also has a long and sordid history of publishing fake news, which is why he fits right in.

Sciutto’s story was so blatantly misleading that even the far-left New York Times cried foul. As did the far-left Washington Post.

Next up: the far-left Politico, with its own fake news bonanza, this one about the Air Force rerouting planes to Scotland so Trump’s Turnberry resort can benefit from the overnight stays, which helps to line the president’s pockets.

We now know this isn’t true and that Politico deliberately removed these rather pertinent facts from is now-debunked hoax: 1) the contract to land flights at this airport was signed during the Obama administration, 2) the contract to use Turnberry for overnight stays was signed during the Obama administration, 3) only six percent of the Air Force’s overnight stays occurred at Turnberry, and 4) Turnberry’s $127 per night room rate is not only the least expensive in the area . . .

. . . To the surprise of no one, the Failing New York Times dropped a bombshell about a sexual assault allegation against Brett Kavanaugh.

We all knew this was coming. You see, the Times and the media overall are still miffed over the fact that all their other phony allegations against Kavanaugh were not only debunked, but failed to keep him off the court, so they just went ahead and invented a new one. . . .

. . . We now know there are three colossal problems with this story:
  1. The Clinton operative refuses to talk to the Times, refuses to confirm he saw this, which means the Times is reporting on what other people said this guy told them. In a court of law this is called hearsay and is not admissible as evidence.
But that’s the least of it. Get this:
  1. The alleged victim . . . does not remember this happening.
  2. The fake New York Times story deliberately omitted the fact that the alleged victim whose alleged hand the alleged penis allegedly ended up in does not remember this happening. . . .

  • The Trump-Russian Collusion “story”?
  • Covington Catholic?
  • The Trump-tax return “bombshell”?
  • The Cohen “admission bombshell”?
  • Etc. etc. (We could begin a whole news thread on these events since Trump Derangement Syndrome came into existence)
It’s all “synthetic”.

It is manufactured Fake News to manipulate citizens into falling for a Socialistic, pro-abort, sexual libertinistic state.

Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc. will shrug their proverbial shoulders while carping about Alex’ Jones conspiracy theories.

Wikipedia will tell you Breitbart is Fake News so they are not allowed to be cited (but CNN and the New York Times are “credible” they will tell you).

“NewsGuard” will ignore these things and continue to try to fool you that these are credible sources.

Some people who have fallen victim to these guys, will even come here and carp about me using Breitbart or LifeSiteNews as sources.

I am sure they have the best intentions.
I am certain they are thinking that they are really concerned about fake news.
It is a proverbial psychological Stockholm Syndrome relationship with their news guys.
Stockholm Syndrome (Merriam-Webster) – the psychological tendency of a hostage to bond with, identify with, or sympathize with his or her captor
Don’t fall for this propaganda schtick.
Don’t give yourself intellectually and psychologically over to them.

This story made a lot of press without corrections.

Well, to half of America, those fake news are Facts. Thus there is no conversation.

I have a feeling this election season will be a Fake News Lollapalooza from leftist “news” outlets and self-appointed leftist “fact” checkers.

State Representative Briscoe Cain tweeted his “Come and take It” after the democrat debate. He talked about Texas Flag (1839) and Motto “Come and Take It.”

Beto O’Rourke said it was a death threat and reported to FBI.

On Oct. 2, 1835, a small group of rebellious colonists in what is now South Texas defied Mexican rule with the memorable battle cry: " Come and take it!" The dare referred to a small brass cannon, but it became a declaration of Texas’ independence and grit as famous as “Remember the Alamo .”

In all fairness to “Beto” he is likely ignorant of that Texas motto.

His “complaint” will go nowhere (except get him a few cheap headlines).

Maybe you are right but but Beto O’Rouke was born and raised in Texas. This representative is only 34 and he knows the Alamo, Gonzalez flag motto. He should have known he was a state representative and at least question it. !
It can be seen on shirts, neckties, underwear, license plates, album covers, food trucks, murals, hats, koozies, and fraternity walls, even tattooed into the skin of true blue Texans.

In Massachusetts state house, there is a “cod” on the wall and I think people from Msschusetts know what it stands for.

Yep. Which makes it even MORE ridiculous for Robert or “Beto” as has been alleged he prefers to be called (yet no support of that “beto preference” was given other than ipse dixit).

WATCH: Former New Hampshire Gov Slams O’Rourke As An ‘Immature Pest’

Molly Prince 16 Sep 2019 Daily Wire

Former Republican New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu criticized Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke on Monday for promulgating policies so far outside the mainstream that even his own party is becoming frustrated.

“He really is desperate at this point and will say just about anything to get a headline,” Sununu told Fox News host Bill Hemmer. “You gave him a headline and so he will probably continue to say silly things like that that will irritate both his Democrats and the Republicans.” . . .

Sununu is clearly wrong here regarding O’Rourke being out of the Democrat mainstream.

The O’Rourke American gun CONFISCATION proclamation was not only widely cheered by the audience, but the CONFISCATION PLAN IDEA was also repeated by two other candidates on the democrat stage.

And none of the other democrat presidential candidates have condemned the O’Rourke (anti) American gun CONFISCATION proclamation plan that has now been revealed by several of the democrat presidential candidates.

  1. It shows fomer governor Sununu did not watch the democratic debate or even parts of it.
  2. his age ( 2 democrat senators and all democratic representatives)
  3. His son is current governor of the state in a very blue area

They seem to have forgotten to put FOX News on the Fake News List…then maybe again, they and other right wing pseudo news sites might only be fake are when they report polls unfavorable to the President.

It’s not that they are all fake but they forget important facts. Think NYT even Joe Scarborough was angry about that reporting.

You can’t live in Texas for long without seeing someone flying the Come and Take It flag somewhere, even if you weren’t here/awake for Texas History class in junior high. 🙂

(Double-checks. Looks like he didn’t go off to boarding school in Virginia until the second half of his high school years, so he should have had Texas History sometime during 7th/8th grade.)

You know, I don’t think getting a story wrong is fake news. Someone tells you something, you check it out with two other sources, get confirmation, and print/report it.

If the sources were wrong, or off by a few years, the reporter has no way of knowing that. They attempt to confirm and then say, “Someone told me this…” What Jim Sciutto said was absolutely true. Someone did tell him that a source was pulled from Russia, and they were right. Just the timeframe as wrong.

If the news media waits for the government to feed them stories, our democracy is dead.
