I am going to flag you on this, just because I am lazy about it, too. The Church is not lead from Rome. Without even getting into the Holy Spirit issue, the Church is lead by the Pope in union with the Magisterium. The pope resides in Vatican City, a nation apart from Rome, Italy.I really care very little what the title of the Catechism of the RC-church is. Because it is not relevant.
I maintain what I have said: This church is led from Rome - hence: The Roman-Catholic Church.
Then one can dig deeper and say that within the RC-church, there are byzantine, arabic, etc rites. But the Roman-Catholic Church is the correct term, to avoid confusion with the Church Catholic. And this is one area where I will stand firm regardless of how much anyone howls.
To say that it is Roman or based in Rome, and most of us do it, is intellectually lazy at best.
Latin Rite or Roman Rite Catholic Church is the language that should be used.
Now I am off to talk to Muslims about how the Roman Catholic Church is correct.
Dang…see what you made me do.
