First of all I would like to say who ordain homosexuals?
Was it me maybe the jews made them do it, or maybe the Muslims yes maybe it was them Hmmmmmmmmm???

Homosexual men generally don’t marry women unless they are trying to hide the fact that they are homosexual. Wel ordain married Priest wouldn’t that take care of you problem???

See I don’t have a problem with married priests your Church has the big hang up.

Jesus hand picked HIS Apostles and had one bad apple not an army of them…

Look at your pope as he travel to any country with a large Catholic Population he has to say sorry so many times that he sound like a broken record.

The only reason Cardinal Law was sorry was because it came to light. That is the only reason why.

Why don’t you talk to victims and asked them what thyey think??

I not the victims here, Maybe you sould hear the impact statements of theos you were raped. It may just change you mind.

You have a problem with me, not the other way around.

Go visit the victims of the crimes done to them? Maybe you would see the pain they feel.

If my Church was doing things like this, I would be yelling and screaming for justus for the victims. That is the difference here.

Think about it.

Have a good day.

Fran J
If you see this as a contest “My Church is better than yours”…
You might be reproachless, but in heaven if you find out there are Catholics of our era are you going to tell Saint Peter none of us should be there? If you see Pope Benedict XVI there are you going to tell God that He made a terrible decision? Can you read our souls, sir? Those who have nothing in themselves to be sorry about, well I am… sorry for them!!

What do you think non-Roman Catholic see when they look at all of this??

I would like to see what you would think if this was in my Church or if Muslims were doing this??

Would you have a great out cry on the sexual abuse taken place then??

You asked a question if support financially pro-life organizations?

Yes I have and also did work for them so there…

Answer to your question…
And the work you did for them did you do it in using aggressive words against those performing abortions and those who supported them?

Why are you so aggressive at the whole Catholic Church when it involved a quite weak %age of all the priests of the USA? You mentionned only one of the Apostles was a “bad apple”, as you call him. You certainly noticed it was Jesus Himself who had chosen Him. He must have known in advance what he would do, and yet He chose him anyway! Or would you say Jesus was not very wise in having chosen him?
Anyhow, one out of 12 makes 8.33%. The %age of the priests who were found guilty of sexual crimes were much less than that in %age! I agree with you that there should have been none at all.
Still, are you a priest or a bishop to afford such acrimonic remarks? Even then, it’s not worthy of anyone who claims to be faithful to Jesus the Christ. Remember the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector at the Temple…

They are. They just haven’t had as much exposure as the Catholic church. Child abuse, for instance, is a problem in all denominations and any secular scenario where an adult is in an authority position over a child. It happens in schools, churches, and most frequently, within families. Frank, seem to have a jaded view of the Catholic church and if I had to guess, would say you’re just using this issue to justify your negative feelings.

Well I worked for Pro-life group for the longest time up until I got married and taken care of older parents took over for me.

I have a very sharp mouth and I use it when need.

I talk after my mother when it comes to talking up.

If you think I have a sharp mouth you should have herd my mother talk about the problems in her Church. She is Roman Catholic the things I would hear out of her mouth would curl your hair.

She shot from the side like a gun slinger

Why would you feel that way???
Why would I not? God doesn’t rejoice in the death of the sinner, He rather seeks that they turned away from their wicked ways and live! The Prophets say so, don’t you remember?

Remember that unless the sinner repents he or she go’s to hell you knon that the hot place, were bad people go. You know of the place??

There were no reports that said that Fr Gaggen and Fr. . Portor were sorry for what they did unless you have news that I didn’t hear??? Please tell me you got wind of a confession here???

Other then that Justus rended by the rope. That is old western Justus.

You want to know? When there were scandals involving Protestant pastors, I didn’t feel like boasting against them. I was sorry that they fell so low. I certainly hope and pray that they have changed and now would be better Christians…
To have our pleasure in somebody else’s fall is not a Christian thing. (I don’t even thing it would be Jewish, for that matter! --the one who started this thread is not Catholic, but Jewish!)

I know of the things going on. You know the Protestant pastors Jimmy Swagget he was found in my Uncles’ Hotel with a black hooker sometime ago. You also like to know my Uncle is Catholic and the news got to the family before Swagget could leave after his Hotel stay.

So I’m very aware what is going on in the Protestant group.

I only point to the sin that is all.

Why did you remove the quote signs before and after the first paragraph? We certainly know of that place, Mr. Frank, don’t worry.
About criminals who did repent do we often hear about it, tell me? Sometimes, yes, but all the time?.. Very far from it!!! So I don’t think you would necessarily know if it happened, Mr. Frank J!

You are easily aware of the bad, but not enough of the good!

I gave you the news on Jimmy Swagget have a good chuckle about something.

I figured since there was a thread asking Protestants what they find oddest about Catholicism, I’d start one asking all non-Catholics what they find admirable about the religion.

For me, the thing I find most admirable about Catholicism is the way they stand up in defense of human life, from conception to natural death. In my opinion this is the most important work they do, esp. in our “culture of death” society.

I’m active in the pro-life movement, and I see firsthand how much committed Catholics do to help rescue the unborn, stop the death penalty, help the homeless and the poor, and end other forms of injustice.
I’m Catholic, but met a pentecostal who admired our faith because we were brave enough (had enough faith?) to drink wine from the same cup (even though we could catch some crazy disease and die) during Mass.

And I didn’t name any pastor. Swagget was not the only pastor in that case. I said “pastors” in plural… However, I don’t say to the Protestants that their Church is bad, bad, bad! That would be unfair to the many Protestants who have tried to live as real good Christians. Some Orthodox priests collaborated with the Soviet regime, but does it make the whole of the Orthodox Church a phoney Christian Church? By any means, no!!

Your quote

Hey evern if I die from drink wine from the same cup at lest I had a good drink and lived a good life as a Christian.

I don’t have that fear. A good Christian should be ready for what comes to all and that is death.

Someday i would like to show you a letter written by Thomas Jefferson about death, it a great letter on his views.

There are good and bad in all, but it is to the extent of how high it go’s
