“…There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church” - Fulton Sheen

“There are millions who are uninformed about the Bahá’í Faith”. -DavidMark

Depend on where you come from. It doesn’t take away, though, the fact that the C Church has been in existence since Jesus’ time and that He had not changed His instruction otherwise since then. 👍
There was a church in existence near theend of Christ’s time! Not sure what it was; although it was at one time called “The Way!”

The ‘Body of Christ’ at the end of His life was the Church of believers, no matter how few there wre. One interpretation of Resurrection is that they were dispirited and hopeless for three days that their Belove was gone; but then they realized He would always be with them, and they stood up and started teaching boldly unto martyrdom. IF they had not done so, we wouldn’t be here talking about it.

Probably. Today there is not much information on them. They could be converts from Judaism probably by the disciples and early followers of the Lord in Judea and Samaria or they could be the remnants of the early Christians of the Acts. But since they were not known as Christians unlike the follwers of the Lord at Antioch, they were merely a sect of Judaism because they did not actually left Judaism but thought they simply moved on according to the new revelation.

In any case they disappeared from the scene altogether or they might simply assimilated to organized Christianity mainstream as it evolved from cluster gatherings of believers into a regional wide religion, where Christian instructions of the apostles were disseminated more systematically.

The Catholic Church however has its unbroken line until today from the apostles and Peter being their leading figure. She therefore has kept all the confidence, teachings, practices and traditions that the apostles knew and had.

Today two thousand years later some of these traditions may sound and look pretty strange if you only have the Bible to guide you. Even though the Bible is the word of God, to understand some of its teachings you must know their background and the context they were taught; and only the apostles were exclusive to these.

God bless

Pretty sure that if you read the Book of Acts carefully, Paul refers to the early church as “the Way”. That would mean to things:1)The cc evolved from “The Way”, And 2) The cc was founded by a Jew!!👍

The Church sprang up and began at Pentecost. The rest is history. We still have the Church today. I has not changed. The buildings and the numbers, yes, but the belief, the teachings and practices remained the same. As they grew in number so too the needs for governance and logistic.

Christianity did not end with matyrdom eventhough many dies but the baton was passed on. And matyrdom continues to this day because such is the message of Jesus that Catholics are willing to die for it if and when required. Among the treasures that the Catholic Church has kept are not just the visible but indeed the faith as how the apostles understood and practiced it. Anything different would be just deviation.

Everything changes except God! I’ve changed, you’ve changed…or have you? Are you God? 😉 STOP: Obfuscation

**That which alone is exempt from change is His own Self, the All-Merciful, the Most Compassionate, were ye to gaze with the eye of insight, while all else beside Him can be altered by an act of His Will. He, verily, is the All-Powerful, the Almighty, the All-Wise. **(Bahá’u’lláh, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 36)

As the body of man needeth a garment to clothe it, so the body of mankind must needs be adorned with the mantle of justice and wisdom. Its robe is the Revelation vouchsafed unto it by God. Whenever this robe hath fulfilled its purpose, the Almighty will assuredly renew it. For every age requireth a fresh measure of the light of God. Every Divine Revelation hath been sent down in a manner that befitted the circumstances of the age in which it hath appeared.(Gleanings from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, p. 81)

Hi beleevr! Have you heard of The Way International? I found these:

Colossians 1:23 …I Paul am made a minister; 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church…

**Follow ye the Way of the Lord and walk not in the footsteps of them that are sunk in heedlessness. Well is it with the slumberer who is stirred by the Breeze of God and ariseth from amongst the dead, directing his steps towards the Way of the Lord. Verily, such a man is regarded, in the sight of God, the True One, as a jewel amongst men and is reckoned with the blissful. **(Tablets of Baha’u’llah, p. 13)

Lament not in your hours of trial, neither rejoice therein; seek ye the Middle Way which is the remembrance of Me in your afflictions and reflection over that which may befall you in future. Thus informeth you He Who is the Omniscient, He Who is aware.
(Baha’u’llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 35)

Thus doth the Lord make plain the ways of truth and guidance, ways that lead to one way, which is this Straight Path. Render thanks unto God for this most gracious favour; offer praise unto Him for this bounty that hath encompassed the heavens and the earth; extol Him for this mercy that hath pervaded all creation. (Baha’u’llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 24)
