Well…if you were speaking the Word of God, your word would be scripture (as Krishna’s Word in the Gita and Jesus Word in the Bible)if i tell you Be devoted to God, Love your neighbour and you will attain me, does it mean God told me to tell you so or could it be me telling you what i heard from others? you will understand if i am speaking the word of God if i do not contradict what others said about God because both cannot be correct.?
Why can they both not be correct?
Does God have any limits whatsoever?
Well - Buddhists don’t accept God…Vaishnavas say the Buddha was an incarnation. Why would God tell a buddhist : attein enlightnment through your own efforts , yet the same God tells a Christian “you are nothing without me”? do you think this is the same God who gives opposite teachings : self-reliance v/s reliance only on God?
And, actually the Buddhist sect “Jodo Shinshu” teaches “Other Power” vs “Self Power,” so I don’t see your point.
Again - God’s message is different for different tempraments.
We all have different tastes…
Buddhists call this “Expedient Means.”
