Nra calls for armed police officer in every school

The practical solution is to ban all handguns and all guns that can fire more than one shot without being reloaded.

The single-shot weapons should be available for rental for only hunting or target practice. The renter should be responsible for mishaps or crimes, even if the gun is taken. The renter should be strictly liable under both criminal and civil law. Rentals should have to be set up a minimum of 7 months in advance.

Not any more expensive than studying, implementing and enforcing massive new gun control.

But I am sure Obama could find the money from somewhere. He is a smart guy. He says that he is serious about finding a solution. But he has yet to offer a practical solution. Mr. LaPierre just offered a practical solution. I am sure that Obama could find some way to fund it. Perhaps he could take the money that he is using to arm the terrrorist “rebels” in Syria, and give that money to Mr. LaPierre’s program. Perhaps we could close a few unnecessary military bases overseas and spend that money on our children.

He should take them up on the suggestion and let them put their money where their mouth is. Something like, “I thank the NRA very much for putting forward a serious proposal, and congratulate them on their willingness to take responsibility for executing it…”

Why? It’s LaPierre’s baby - let him support it. Prez should absolutely take him up on the offer.

Agreed.

Then we’ll find out how many people will fight till they take their gun from their cold dead hand. Even if its only 1% of gun owners thats only 800,000 citizens and probably half that many law enforcement killed taking it from them

So plan on killing 1.2 million Americans with your “plan”.

They just don’t get it! It’s like arguing with a wall. There is a reason why terrorist used anything other than guns in Israel! You come out to the markets and begins shooting you may get 5 or 8 people until someone shoots and takes you out. But you make inexpensive concealable bombs and blow it in the middle of the crowd you can take out up to 50 people without anyone ever knowing. These whakos will do the same! Bombs can easily be made.

Of course it does reduce the number of persons killed at a goal–in a single incident.

Actually all they need to do is repeal the “Gun Free Schools Act” that has killed so many children and the problem is solved for free.

So how do we defend ourselves against criminals who have guns?

Also, if I’m not much mistaken, the sale of fertilizer is monitored in efforts to prevent bomb-making. Does that infringe the rights of farmers to make a living?

Mass shooting almost always take place in gun free zones and that goes back to my post on the first page of this thread

People can buy fertiliser and bomb making equipment fairly easily

Fine, bill the NRA for the expense of recruiting, training, arming, and compensating 132,183 new police officers and hold them legally liable for ANY mishaps or school shootings. The NRA has finally lost its marbles.
