Hmmm let’s see do I go to my county health clinic or the Euthanasia / abortion provider.

PP does not provide “Primary Care”. Care to provide evidence?
Anyone who says PP provides “general care to women” is being dishonest. If by “general healthcare to women” you mean contraception, abortion and some cancer screening, then yes. I don’t think granny goes for her monthly checkup/blood work. If she did, you would have a point.

Well said 👍👍

But you addressed to the wrong person 🙂

Care to prove that claim? PP can’t.
Sure. Only 3% of services are abortions.

“The other 97 percent of services were for contraception, treatment and tests for sexually transmitted diseases, cancer screenings, and other women’s health services.”

Or another way to measure their abortion services is to divide the total number of abortions by the number of clients.

“That would mean that roughly one out of every 10 clients received an abortion.”

Which means roughly 9 out of 10 or 90% do not.

And “Planned Parenthood cannot use the money it receives from the federal government for abortions anyway.”

Hope the facts help!

Thanks for helping me make my point Barrick! I’m not very good at getting pics. on here but you sir, have shown the true colors of the Protestant Work Ethic Righters beautifully BRAVO!! 👍
What’s your problem with Protestant work ethic? The Protestant or the work ethic? The fact is that I have no problem working out here in this 100+ degree weather has no relation to my religion. Yea, I thank God that I’m healthy enough, an pray that I die healthy enough to do this day in and day out. I just hope they find me before the buzzards do. There are plenty of jobs like mine, and plenty of welfare people who refuse to do them. I struggle to pay my bills and live within my means like a lot of others do, I hold no illusions as to how tough life can be. My father drilled this into me, not my preacher, he grew up poor and I do what I do hoping I never have to experience what he experienced.

I’m going to finish loading my truck up out in this heat to be ready for work tomorrow. Forgive me if I don’t respond right away, but I will read your response if you so choose.

Those who can afford more do pay more. 50% pay nothing. What is it you don’t understand about shared sacrifice. Those who pay nothing…or actually receive an earned income tax credit aren’t sharing anything are they? 🤷
Yes they are. They’re sacrificing more than the wealthy ever will. They are the most hurt by budget cuts. The wealthy on the otherhand can pay more and still go on with their lifestyles. Which is fine. We are not talking about envy. Just some fairness and decency. In the meantime though the rich get richer and the poor and middle class get the shaft.

I would if I could find the women I saw interviewed attesting to going to PP for their primary care and bring them on to CAF to post.

Which is it? 97% or 90%?

This has been hashed over before, and PP’s numbers are fudged. It’s already been explained that PP lumps services together related to abortion and breaks out services unrelated to abortion. It’s well explained here. From that link:
Where the 3% comes from

To see how Planned Parenthood arrives at this claim, look at PPFA’s March, 2011 Fact Sheet, “Planned Parenthood Services.” [1] There you’ll see Planned Parenthood’s 332,278 abortions listed as 3% of the 11,383,900 services the organization says it provided clients in 2009. If you do the math, it comes out to 2.9%.

But look closer at the page. You’ll notice that it lists every “service” Planned Parenthood does equally, whether it is a test, a surgical procedure, or handing someone a condom. Something that takes a couple of seconds and can be done by receptionist is put on par with what is supposed to be a serious operation.

Clearly, not all these “services” are equivalent. Some involve medical skill, some are rather expensive, but others are neither.

Moreover, as a matter of fact, the whole total of “services” that the percentage is based on is grossly inflated by the 3,864,842 receiving “reversible contraception” or “emergency contraception kits,” in many cases, “services” that consist of nothing more than the passing out a few packs of pills.
And you do realize that the Annenberg Foundation (which supports factcheck.org) has provided grants to PP? Can you expect an unbiased report from an organization that donates to PP?
And “Planned Parenthood cannot use the money it receives from the federal government for abortions anyway.”
Been over this a ton of times. Money is fungible. Federal tax dollars free up PP to pay for abortion related services. Also, this doesn’t account for federal dollars being used to offset the costs of abortion related assets, such as office space, staff, procedure rooms, medical supplies, etc. Federal dollars may not be allowed to be used on the accounting balance sheet, but those federal dollars do enable PP to perform more abortions.

Hi, I’m a Christian liberal. Although I have fought to remove prayer from schools and stand strongly for a complete separation of Christianity and state, I also justify my support for big government and pro abortion politicians using Christianity. I believe we should ask ourselves, What would Jesus do if he were a politician today? Well, as long as he was pro choice, big government, and didn’t pray he would have my vote.
What you will find is that a parody of the left is impossible. No matter how large the exaggeration of the parodied situation, the actual reality of the situation is equally to the absurdity.

Pro-choice Jesus, eh?

Yea, that sounds about right.

Well, I hope Cantor does call his bluff, because that’s exactly what it is, and the Moody’s watch list thing is overblown.

why would he tell anyone he was bluffing? and why was he bluffing? this is a very serious issue for anyone to be bluffing.😦

Well, duh! Of course people support raising other people’s taxes.
I think that there should be a tax on liberals, personally. They are all high maintainance.
Do you know of any demagogues that will campaign on this?

In fairness, I don’t recall Jesus saying anything about the poor not paying taxes, or across the board taxation, etc. Other than “render unto Caeser…,” I’m pretty certain Jesus never mentioned taxation policy. Do we even know if the person who asked Jesus the question was rich or poor? Did the Romans tax across the board? If it was important, one would think Jesus would have taken that moment to address the situation. Instead, He just said, in essence, “pay your taxes.” 🤷
:hmmm:Well Rlg, I don’t suppose our Lord thought it was necessary to explain that you cannot expect to get 'blood out of a turnip".
Peace, Carlan

I believe, that’'s exactly what Mr Obama meant when he said " Ill take it to the American people"
Yep no doubt in my mind, he never listens to the American people so why take it to them unless he means to scare them.

Do you think 50% of Americans are poor? Is it get getting ‘blood out of a turnip’ to ask some of the lower middle class to pay something in taxes?

Actually no…

You have a strange mentor on issues pertaining to Planned Parenthood IMO
This is a Fact: Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider and 96% of its services for pregnant women are abortions.
For those who may try to rebut this, here is the documentation you need:
Looking at a 2010 fact sheet from their own website, Planned Parenthood provided 324, 008 abortion services, 2,405 adoption referrals, and 9,433 prenatal services in 2008. When calculated, abortion services accounted for 96% of the services provided to pregnant women.
Here is the math for those who still doubt:
2,405 +9,433 = 11,838 (services to pregnant women which are not abortions)
11,838 / 324,008 = .036 = 3.6%
100% – 3.6% = 96.4% (of services provided to pregnant women are abortions)
While this is an astounding number, the actual number of abortions that Planned Parenthood provides may actually be more than that!
The numbers Planned Parenthood provides in its reports are skewed and don’t give a full picture of the services Planned Parenthood is actually providing. Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood Director, recently commented on the way Planned Parenthood reports on its numbers to ensure that the public will not know the truth of their business:
“And while Planned Parenthood says abortions make up just 3 percent of its services, I found they used an sleight of hand, unbundling family planning services so each patient shows anywhere from five to 20 “visits” per appointment (12 packs of birth control would show up as 12 individual visits). It does the opposite for abortion visits, bundling them together so each appointment shows as one visit. This skews the numbers. You have an overwhelming number of “visits” for family planning compared to abortion, even though you may have seen the same number of patients.”
