Simon Jackman at Stanford puts Obama at 277 and Romney at 191, with 70 unknown, today. His model puts 230 strong Obama, 47 leaning Obama, 191 strong Romney, 0 leaning Romney, and 70 toss ups.

His tossups are CO, NH, VA, NC, FL.

CNN puts Obama at 237, but you need to add in NV which they call a tossup still so, CNN would put Obama at 243, and Romney at 206, with 89 tossup.
Most of those haven’t been tossups for a week. Your data is old.

Always does. Won’t last. Tomorrow is election day and that always favors the more traditional voters that vote Republican. Don’t you remember 4 years ago?

If Obama was going to be way ahead, the early vote numbers would have been much higher than they are. TEhy’re not. He’s having to work it out the old-fashioned way, the hard way and this is tight.

When people first see the coverage early tomorrow night they’re going to think the same thing you did. But keep watching, the regular votes will start coming in from the polling locations and tehn you’ll see it shift. Pretty fast, I think.

Uh huh…but…
While Democrats state the poll numbers show the early vote benefits them, it’s interesting to note as a percentage,** the early vote reflects an uptick for Republicans compared to their early voting numbers in 2008.
**
As of the day before Election Day, Democratic early votes already in are at 89 percent of their ’08 number while Republicans are at 138 percent of their ’08 early vote total.
So how much of the vote is actually in and how many people will head to the polls? Well, if you were to compare the current Cuyahoga County totals to the actual voter turnout in 2008, **Democrats have 37.6 percent of their final vote in ’08, Republicans are at 59.6 percent of theirs and non-partisans are at 26 percent of their vote.
**

Why don’t we all wait a bare 24 hours, then we can debate the polls. 🤷
That’s what’s going to happen. The polls will be a big topic of conversation about 2 days from now, because they’ve been all over the place. And D+13, are they nuts? It wasn’t D+13 four years ago. A lot of them have been just plain wrong and jumping all over the place. Some of htem don’t even have internal consistency. It’s a mess.

It might be D+13 on the Kennedy compound. Maybe. ROFLOL.

so much for pro life

youtube.com/watch?v=N2gwbGnti5A <I’d seen this Mitt: the early years thing. His current position might be said by some to be a flip-flop - I’d call it seeing the light. It would be flip-flopping if he switches BACK. Could it be that his position is not REAL and that it is just to get elected NOW that he is pro-life? 🤷 We shall see (maybe) if he is elected. If not the point is moot I suppose.

youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=Oi9L9cjwjqc&feature=endscreen< actually Mitt came off pretty well here. I was a Santorum guy and Rick did seem to have the superior pro-life resume.

But even given Gingrich’s probing and Santorum’s “better record” (per my way of thinking); Mitt’s appointment of judges didn’t seem to be “pro-choice” at all for as many lower level judges as he appointed … even though he reiterated having “no litmus test” when appointing them.

He made NO appointments to the Massachusetts Supreme Court - which actually MAY have abortion cases before it. He protested vehemently that he is “pro-life” (now) and brought up the additional cred that he is anti-cloning.
I DO thank you for posting the links, they were good to revisit. At this point, because of who Romney is running against … and an ACTUAL record of pro-abortion bias … I’d probably give Mitt my vote as the “lesser of two evils” even if you had convinced me he IS a flip-flopper and can’t be trusted.

We Catholics have prayed for Obama for four years in daily masses (as we pray for our leaders, and sometimes for “Our President” directly by naming the office). I don’t know what good those prayers have done the current President judging by his “fruits” (works).

But if Mr. Romney wins Tomorrow (or in the wake of tomorrow) it’s good to know he’ll have some Divine graces to help him if he does not harden his heart and mind to them.

If Obama wins? Let’s keep praying and hoping the graces will break through more than they have so far. Actually that would be wishing him WELL - which is patriotic. And a good thing for a citizen to wish the leader of his country (or city, or state, etc.)

She has a knack for writing, but I lost a great deal of respect for her when she announced that she was voting for Obama. There was no excuse for that.

I was about to post the same thing! Great minds and all that…LOL

Big deal. Obama’s early vote lead in 2012 is a far cry below his 2008 turnout. The Republican early vote and absentee ballots are waves ahead of 2008 totals at this juncture. GOP enthusiasm is exceptionally strong compared to Democratic enthusiasm, by all the polls. Democratic registrations are way down in critical swing states versus Republicans. I’m not asserting that Romney will necessarily win on Tuesday. I’m just pointing out certain factors that are of particular importance in evaluating election data.

Yes, and I see some people are starting to say that if Obama wins, he’s demeaned the presidency so much that he’s not going to be able to govern effectively. I believe that. If he wins, it’s going to be a rocky and contentious four years, and we’re going to come out of it never wanting another Democrat president as long as we live. This is the downside of winning something like this if you’re the incumbent.

You prefer the Communists that controlled the country before the Solidarnosc movement?
I despise them. There’s a joke about Polish televison sets in the old days. They all came with windshield type wipers.

To wipe the spit off after the 8:00 news.
