Well said, my friend.I am not sure I will get a real answer, but do you pay income tax?
And I do think of others, and donate to charity. And I don’t steal your money to do it.![]()

Anyone, who admittedly is a lurker, shows up every now and then with comments that IMHO,are for the sole intent of stirring the pot…if it talks like a duck…So… anyone who has a compassionate point of view that is different from your desire of dictatorship idealism is a troll?
National defense is one of the primary (and only) clearly defined roles of the federal government. Most of the other things we spend money on have no place in a federal budget, and belong in state or local budgets, as the COnstitution and Catholic Church allow. You don’t think our defence budget is bankrupting the country too? Or how about the war mongering across the middle east? I’m sure supplying arms and intel in this Arab spring wasn’t free.
Or couldn’t care less, even.I had high doubts you were telling the truth, simply because I’ve never met anyone in Britain who ever spoke positive of the USA’s health system.
And report me if you want, I could care less…
Probably true, but people here who think Romney is serious about the debt I think are dreaming. Both he and the rest of the republicrats have sacred cows that they will never touch. For the GOP it’s the defense budget, for the democrats, it’s education and medicare/medicaid and social security. The reality is they all need to be cut and taxes raised to pay for the debt. But that’s political suicide for them in a country that has been brainwashed into thinking good things come without sacrifice.Obamacare will get me absolutely nothing, except rationing and death panels.
The Reagan tax cuts provided an avalanche of tax revenue, as did the Bush cuts (to a lesser extent). The problem is that spending went up.Probably true, but people here who thing Romney is serious about the debt I think are dreaming. The Clinton tax increases brought more revenue as well. The Reagan tax cuts provided an avalanche of tax revenue, as did the Bush cuts (to a lesser extent). The problem is that spending went up.
Only because he had a better economy, and they stalled things fairly quickly, hence the need for the Bush tax cuts. The Clinton tax increases brought more revenue as well.
Do you really think it will matter if Romney or Obama is in there? Romney wants to increase the defense budget 4% without raising taxes and without cutting social security, medicare/medicaid.The problem is that spending went up.
He and I were roomates in the Air Force. He’s an amazing cook too. Especially Italian food.I don’t believe that the comment was aimed at you.
I disagree with your politics, but you have always been a civilized, Catholic poster![]()
2 reasons I trust Mitt:Do you really think it will matter if Romney or Obama is in there? Romney wants to increase the defense budget 4% without raising taxes and without cutting social security, medicare/medicaid.
One reason is that if they were to cut spending significantly, the economy will shrink without all that government subsidy further killing growth and tax revenue. As Survivor says, “there’s not easy way out”.
Get out! Really? He and I were roomates in the Air Force. He’s an amazing cook too. Especially Italian food.
The economy stalled after 8 years because of a tx increase? The economy tanked much more quickly and deeply after the bush tax cuts.Only because he had a better economy, and they stalled things fairly quickly, hence the need for the Bush tax cuts.
Right on the first, wrong on the secondThe economy stalled after 8 years because of a tx increase? The economy tanked much more quickly and deeply after the bush tax cuts.
Well then, think of taxes as donating to charity.I am not sure I will get a real answer, but do you pay income tax?
And I do think of others, and donate to charity. And I don’t steal your money to do it.![]()
Thanks man.Get out! Really?
Thank you both and God bless you both for your service.
