Very good ringil.
God is outside of time and space.

You donāt believe in miracles?Precisely. God knows that events will take place, I just donāt believe that He controls any of it.
John
Iām not sure that this is doctrinally true but I am no theologian. It doesnāt āsoundā true though.Precisely. God knows that events will take place, I just donāt believe that He controls any of it.

Even that I doubt. I think that folks change their minds, not because God changes those hearts, but because people, with the help of the Holy Ghost, decide to conform their hearts to what God expects of them. God is not the actor, the individual is.God doesnāt change his mind. He changes hearts.
Those are puzzlements to me. If God has decided that something will turn out in a certain way, itās unchangeable - by definition. You donāt believe in miracles?
Exactly! We are praying for relief from the evil platform of the dem. party. Those are puzzlements to me. If God has decided that something will turn out in a certain way, itās unchangeable - by definition.
Now, if I pray for a relief from cancer, that can be changed because it was not a decision of Godās. It was the consequence of a bodily imperfection or the influence of a carcinogen, etc. IMO.
Come on! Really!Exactly! We are praying for relief from the evil platform of the dem. party.
It is the consequence of the mental imperfection of liberalism and the influence of the devil.
See, that is Atheist philosophy. God is not bound by his rules. Those are puzzlements to me. If God has decided that something will turn out in a certain way, itās unchangeable - by definition.

Itās the old does the intellect form the will or vice versa? I think both cases can happen.Even that I doubt. I think that folks change their minds, not because God changes those hearts, but because people, with the help of the Holy Ghost, decide to conform their hearts to what God expects of them. God is not the actor, the individual is.
I know itās tough. I can spout some doctrinal stuff but as a relatively young person who hasnāt felt the pang of deep suffering as you have described before, it would come across as trite.
IMO.
If God empowered the Roman Pontius Pilate over Christ, could it have been His will that Obama is in office right now?Exactly! We are praying for relief from the evil platform of the dem. party.
It is the consequence of the mental imperfection of liberalism and the influence of the devil.
But, He is bound by some things. He cannot make a square circle, e.g.See, that is Atheist philosophy. God is not bound by his rules.
Hey, weāre trying to have a serious discussion here.Exactly! We are praying for relief from the evil platform of the dem. party.
It is the consequence of the mental imperfection of liberalism and the influence of the devil.
Yes, really!Come on! Really!
Absolutely. If God empowered the Roman Pontius Pilate over Christ, could it have been His will that Obama is in office right now?
Ringil already provided you with that answer! But, He is bound by some things. He cannot make a square circle, e.g.
And, He cannot change His perfect, omniscient mind. If He changed His mind, that would mean that His original decision was less than perfect, making Him less than perfect. You have some priest friends, Christine. Run that by them. Theyāll agree that perfection canāt be modified.![]()
It is certain that we will be punished for our sins. Even the innocent will suffer for the sins of the guilty.Yes, really!
Abortion, same sex marriage, threat to religious liberty, all evil.
Those who support evil, suffer from something, not sure what it is.But the devil has to have his spirit in it.
Of course, you may not believe in the devil, so you tell me why anyone would support evil.
Iād say, āmaybe.ā God doesnāt put men into office. He allows them to be put into office. Consider the Popes. Did God put them into office? No. Look at some of the very poor choices the College of Cardinals made over the centuries.Absolutely.
Of course. It could be His will that Obama will be elected again. If God empowered the Roman Pontius Pilate over Christ, could it have been His will that Obama is in office right now?
