I like Starkist tuna with Miracle Whip. Cheap, boring, but tasty.
ugh, miracle whip. I can’t stand the “zip”. I do maynaise, but more so just use mayonaise, dill relish, and onion. My wife likes sweet tuna salad and I like sour.

I also like a better quality tuna fish, olive oil, and capers if I am going for the Italian type.

I like star kist much better than chicken of the sea. I eat a lot of tuna because I work out a bit.

🙂

That would inexcusable but I have not seen any at ncregister. Have you seen the nasty names Michael Sean Winters has called George Weigel in his latest post at NCR? I can not imagine national Catholic register allowing such a post to be posted
NCReg allows the kind of intrapersonal attacks that CAF does not.

Perhaps I should visit some other Catholic websites like those described to see what commentators are saying. This is the first time I’ve heard someone going after George Weigel.
Like ncr? No need to waste your time

You are on a first name basis with Romney but not with Obama? 🙂

Not trying to be snarky. I just think it’s funny how some supporter of the left and right call their candidate by their first name. I support Obama but he doesn’t know me thus I am not on a first name basis with him.
“Tippecanoe” “I like Ike” “TR” “Give em hell Harry” “Dubya” “FDR” “JFK/Jack” “LBJ” “Jimmy” First name and nicknames of candidates comes and goes…

Ordinary supermarket canned tuna is fine for tuna salad, but imported tuna is the stuff of Salad Nicoise and such. It’s not expensive for no reason. You don’t screw it up with creamy dressings.

Tampa Dave, Miracle Whip? Miracle Whip? The cigar smoke has deadened your taste buds. 😃
I grew up in Northeast Ohio on the Lake with Miracle Whip. Down here in Virginia, everyone uses Mayonnaise, which I limit to ham salad…

I agree. I just don’t like the implied Muslim reference extremists use when addressing Obama with the ‘Hussein’ monicker.

This forum is for everyone. We should respect everyone. This might make this forum uncomfortable for some. There are areas of this forum to discuss Scotch or whatever. This is being reported.
You seriously reported this? Really? Wow.

No Drama Obama? 😃

I’m with you on the middle name references. Interesting point I heard on the radio yesterday - more voters think Obama is Jewish than think he’s Muslim. Hilarious.

TOTALLY OFF TOPIC but growing up in VA I never heard of “Beggars Day,”.

When I moved to MA, and now NY Oct 30 is “Beggars Day”. Is this just a Northern thing and an excuse to get more candy?

She is a Pharmacologist so really does mainly research. She only teaches when she has to. Her pay is OK now but she is 38. It takes a long time to get an OK salary in science. Part of me wishes I would have gotten a Ph.D. in Social Work as I am a very conceptual person. Hard to say.
Yeah, glad life is so great to you, I’ve been treated where some would do away with themselves and snap their necks at the end of a rope. And I’m prolife because I believe obstructions have kept me and my spouse from bliss but I believe in God and have faith. Seriously, Wow! Is that personal enough for you all!

In Brooklyn, kids don’t go door to door for candy - too many apartments to cover. They go retail store to store, and all the merchants have the usual tooth rot stuff to give to the kids.

Yesterday I mentioned how I can’t support the companies that pay employees $10 an hour or less, like Staples (one of Romney’s companies). But the thing I forgot to mention is that one of the biggest problems I see with a lot of greedy big business (and republicans) is that they fail to understand that you can’t have a good economy when one is making $8.00 an hour. If one is making that little, where is the money to spend? If you pay employees better (Costco for example), they will have more money to spend, thus the economy improves. But we live in a very selfish country with less regulations than others, and you can see where the problem comes from. And any libertarians on here thinking this country should be without any rules and regulations, go visit China and you’ll see what being a libertarian country is like.

To review,

Pay American’s more = they spend more = better economy.

Pay American’s $10 an hour = no money to spend = bad economy.

Um, I’m sorry.

I didn’t mean to offend anyone.

We all have our crosses to bear, but there is time for joyful things in life too. A nice glass of Scotch, a fine hand-rolled cigar, watching your kids graduate from college, enjoying your daughter’s wedding, eating fine seafood, collecting vintage armor, etc. Things like this make life bearable for us mere humans.

No thanks, I said I wondered if there was a motivation here earlier. If you can’/t address issues please do not talk to me and brag about your personal life all the time.
