She is going for Halloween as a strawberry even though she was the same last year. I think she has the concept that Halloween costumes are like Christmas trees- must be the same each year.

Have fun. Halloween was so much fun for me when I was a kid, and so much fun for me when my kids were little. I often wish I could keep them at ages 6 and 9 forever. 😊

There are real issues that can and should be discussed. When such conspiracies are brought in as ‘real’, it detracts from the real issues and takes away the credible stories by casting even more doubt on what’s real and what is not. Are you putting candy out for the ragamuffins who’ll come knocking? I will, but know already that I’ll be lucky if a dozen kids come by between 6 and 8. But, when my kids were as old as Nick and Anna, it was great fun like you mention. The kids decorated the windows, played spooky music, etc. They went to Halloween parties, but we never had a party at our place. My wife would not allow “evil” costumes. Pirates were okay as were soldiers or even priests and ballerinas, but NO devils or ghouls, etc. 😃

For all of you trick or treaters who happen to be of the “liberal” persuasion…just kidding, I promise!!!😃

By the way, my 18 year old daughter sent this to me this afternoon. She thought of me when she saw it, hummm. That should tell me something.😦

No. No kids in my new condo neighborhood. When my kids were younger I took them out trick-or-treating (great neighborhood for that, street parties, etc.) But when they got older, I turned off my lights and didn’t answer the door, because they would bus kids in from other neighborhoods and the parents would ask for cigarettes and money.

I did go to the houses of the kids in the neighborhood before Halloween started and give them goody bags.

So you think it’s petty to implore God’s grace upon our Country?When we are dealing with abortion on demand,restructuring our Constitution to transform our Country to the extent that our religious freedoms are being attacked? That we are so deeply in debt,that not only our future but that of our children and grandchildren will be comprismised? Hardly petty!I have faith in acGod that wants the best for all of us.Now I realize He doesn’t always answer our prayers in the way we want,so if Obama should be re elected,I trust thatbGod will bring some eventual good out of all the destructive policies Obama will certainly push through! 😦

Yeah. Some years ago, we’d have bunches of kids bused in for trick or treating. That really p***** me off. Halloween was supposed to be a neighborhood celebration, not a city-wide canvass to accumulate loot. And, I would never give an adult anything! But, I’d give candy even to teenagers.
