I could careless what the world thinks of us. America is no longer the most powerful nation on earth… .I suspect this is why the world wanted this treasonous “president” reelected.
Treasonous “president”? You may hate Obama’s policies, but this is going too far.

Most of the people you mention will also be too old. But I realize you’re mainly painting a grotesque and funny picture here, even from the liberal perspective. Nancy Pelosi in a debate would indeed be a sight to behold. The future of both parties lay in young leadership with innovative and creative ideas for solving our country’s domestic and international problems. On the Republican side, someone like Marco Rubio, for example.
It really doesn’t matter to me who runs from either major party. I absolutely don’t care anymore. I’m done with the American political process, a true sellout to apathy. I’m giving up my GOP membership, effective today. I will sit by and watch America drift wherever the political winds take her. My vote meant nothing yesterday, it will mean less in the future. I won’t follow the issues, watch future candidates compete for office, or otherwise follow political news. Sports, television drama, good Scotch and cigars, plus my faith and family, that’s enough for me. Good luck with Obama’s new America, meltzerboy. I wish you both well. 🙂

That must make them right, then.

Of course there are more people, especially in academia, that support killing babies. That isn’t particularly surprising, nor does it make them correct.

Peace

Tim
No, it doesn’t make them right, but it means that you have to engage them properly. They believe they have sound arguments, and demonizing them won’t do you a lick of good. So learn the arguments (even the academic pro-life arguments, which I bet many of you don’t know). I cannot comprehend how you can be so passionate about this issue and not know every argument. This is not quantum physics either. You cannot blame lack of resources or time. Anyone can get a sense of these arguments in a week or two.

Do that, and engage them properly.

More like he is going to away more liberties. Plain and simple. I have a feeling God is giving up America to its sins 😦
Today we give thanks to God for the leadership and person of Barack Obama. May God grant him the serenity to accept the things he cannot change, courage to change the things he can and wisdom to know the difference. Inspire him, oh Lord, to provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty in accordance with thy will.

Of course that is the question. Did you really think that the abortion debate was about whether an embryo had human DNA? Here are an introduction to the academic arguments, and you should know them if you serious about being pro-life:

No, it’s not a joke. You tell me one single policy that is extreme left. You can’t do it.
No, but that’s some of the faulty argument we usually have to put up with, but not in such direct terms.

Yes, very true.

People talk about how God gave us “free will” to make our choices–good or bad.
And is that not what the President is trying to do as well?..
I’m sorry, but I cannot read any further. Did you really just compare Obama with God?!

Benghazi.

Fort Hood victims’ families are suing the government for the government’s refusal to call Fort Hood a terrorist attack and so thus, they are denied benefits.

Families and victims of a mass shooting in 2009 at the Fort Hood military base in Texas filed a wrongful death suit on Monday against the U.S. government, the accused gunman and the estate of an alleged al Qaeda leader.
The 148 plaintiffs are seeking damages and a ruling that the rampage was a terrorist attack. The finding would clear the way for them to receive benefits.
So, it is possible these acts could be treasonous, it may well be treasonous that we have so many unemployed and nothing is done to help out the job market.

The abortion debate is not about when life starts. Here are some relevant questions, taken from the wiki-entry:

"Ethical question regarding abortion usually include:
Are embryos, zygotes and fetuses “persons” worthy of legal protections?
Yes. Just because they are not born makes no less of a person undeserving of legal protection
Should the potential to be a person give embryos, zygotes and fetuses a right to life?
An unborn human is a person with much potential not a potential person because the unborn. 1 day born child has less capacity than a 1 day old calve in regards to mobility for example, but who would say calves have more of an inherent right to life or greater worth than an unborn child?
Does a fetus gain rights as it gets closer to birth?
No. A fetus has the same rights at conception as it does closer to birth for the reasons established above
Does a woman have an absolute right to determine what happens in and to her body?
A baby is in her womb but it is not part of a woman’s bodyl the baby has its own uniqye DNA and genetic code and that would be possible if the baby was part of a woman’s body
Is abortion acceptable in cases of rape, incest, or contraception failure?
Is abortion acceptable in cases where the fetus is deformed?
Rape and incest are terrible but why should a child die fro the crime of a father? Why would the violent act of abortion help a woman if she has been subject already to a violant act of rape?
Is abortion acceptable in cases where if the pregnancy were to continue, it would pose a direct threat to the life of the mother?"
Dr John Crown, an eminent oncologist has said, ‘I don’t think I ever had a case where abortion was necessary to save mom’

Most cases where the mother’s life is claimed to be in danger if she carries on with pregnancy she can be treated without an abortion taking place, but unfortunately on many occasions where the mother can be treated, doctors recommend abortion

Study has shown pregnant women can have chemotherapy and it will not cause complications

There are cases in the medical literature of abdominal ectopic pregnancies that have survived and yet abortions are done for ectopic pregnancy

It is difficult to ascertain if there truly is any illness that put the woman’s health so at risk that continuing pregnancy would kill her if she continued with pregnancy. There are also many things which people consider threats to a pregnant woman’s life but are not really life threatening if treated properly. Threats like preeclampsia which can be treated with early delivery or bed rest; eclamplsia has similar treatment as preeclampsia but may require c section; placenta previa can be life threatening but with proper medical management both mother and unborn child can be protected; placental abruption can be treated; a pregnant woman with cancer can be treated with chemotherapy while the baby tolerates

Taney court in 1856 said Black slave babies were not persons. Now the law says the unborn are not persons

Well, it’s your choice; not everyone is into politics and some are apathetic, not even bothering to vote. Personally, however, I don’t believe it’s a good idea to give up rather than fight for the principles you believe in. I don’t know how old you are, but I’ve been around for quite a while and have seen many changes, good and bad, in our country, as well as some real progress in certain areas. That took the will of people who continue to fight despite the obstacles. No good cause comes easily. Motivational speech over…

BTW, your vote did make a difference: Virginia was a close race.

Politics and religion: TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Yes, they affect each other. No they are not identical.

You need to look up the definition, and if I see the word used one more time in reference to our President, I will immediately report the poster. This is not funny, cute or anything of the sort.

John

All this stuff is not going to go away. Benghazi, Fort Hood, FEMA, Obamacare, the HHS mandate when it goes into effect. Democrats own this stuff now.

Demographics guarantee that my vote no longer counts. My former Party (GOP) has consistently refused to gather in the Hispanic vote, despite my wishes, so demographics will condemn the GOP to permanent minority status. Democrats, led by liberals, will transform America into the newest European Union state and do what they will. Apathy comes out of my realization that there is nothing I can do to reverse the tide.
