yknow, for all the vitrol and anger thats been spewed, by both sides, that we should reflect on the prayer of st francis.
My friend, nature makes mistakes all the time. Persons born without limbs, blind or mentally disabled, are all of nature, but are all outside the norm. It isn’t for me to decide, it was decided long ago. I have no desire to hurt you, for I’m sure you are in pain. Truth is truth. Male and female were specifically designed to compliment one another and to insure procreation. The act of homosexual sex is outside the design.if its virtue of nature, then its explicitly NOT outside the norm, and regardless of nurture, theyre american citizens, and that guarantees equal rights as anyone else. and who are you, exactly, to decide what is and isnt “the norm”. you are aware that society is made of thousands of different factions, faiths, beliefs, preferences, biases, and flaws, right? so what is the norm?
no withdrawal. i think youre fully entitled to your beliefs, tho i find the way you put them across to be both off putting and disgusting, and not godly in any way.A graceful withdrawel, although I think St Francis was probably anti abortion. Pax Christi
You do understand that Prop 8 came about as the result of an activist court overruling the will of the people, ie, Prop 22 of 2000, which passed with 61% of the vote, right?youd think that, but prop 8 raped that idea to death.
it wasnt insulting, it was a completely pointless comparison. being gay, if it is considered a defect by anyone (it isnt a defect, but the world is made up of 99% idiots, so…) then it isnt a physical defect. The driver’s license was meant as an illustration, I thought I made that clear, that many people would like to do many things, but due to physical limitations, wanting and getting are often two different things. Sorry if you took it as an insult.
it wasnt an activist court. and 61% isnt a majority, especially when you consider that not everyone able to vote, actually does so.You do understand that Prop 8 came about as the result of an activist court overruling the will of the people, ie, Prop 22 of 2000, which passed with 61% of the vote, right?
That’s unconstitutional, and a federal suit by physicians for life should be in order here.I agree completely! The FOCA bill would pass in this liberal climate we have in Wash. this term. It will completely do away with all of the progress we have worked so hard for in restricting abortion. It will take freedom of choice away from health care workers who don’t want to provide or participate in abortion, by making them subject to firing for thei beliefs. Pax Christi
Both are defects of nature. Sorry.it wasnt insulting, it was a completely pointless comparison. being gay, if it is considered a defect by anyone (it isnt a defect, but the world is made up of 99% idiots, so…) then it isnt a physical defect.
ever hear of comparing apples and oranges?
i really am beginning to think you have absolutely no idea what youre talking about, ever. Both are defects of nature. Sorry.
it wasnt an activist court. and 61% isnt a majority, especially when you consider that not everyone able to vote, actually does so.
Ahhh, yeah, that would be 61% of the persons who were eligible to vote and actually did so…by your logic, Obama with 54% isn’t a majority win and he shouldn’t be president? This is the United States. We have rules and methods of establishing them. The will of the people spoke, not once, but twice.
and prop 8 came about as the result of bigoted churches who used fear mongering and preying on the ignorant, right?
No. Though activist homosexual groups, who outspent prop 8 supporters by millions of dollars, in an attempt to perpetrate this largely untrue view.
Again, I’m sorry about your pain, but on this forum, political happenings are viewed through the spectrum of Catholicism loyal to Rome, not to mention common sense. You can shout from the rafters that homosexual sex is within the natural order because it can take place, but just as you mentioned rape in a previous post, because it can happen, doesn’t make it right. I’ll pray for you.
and yet you go on about abortion. maybe you should get over it then, huh? let people murder all the babies they want. suck it up lady, you lost.Ahhh, yeah, that would be 61% of the persons who were eligible to vote and actually did so…by your logic, Obama with 54% isn’t a majority win and he shouldn’t be president? ive tried not to say this, catholics loyal to rome 1) believe in an invisible magician in the sky, who makes things happen by thinking them, but wont change a single bad thing in the world. yes, of course, common sense. 2) you cant, havent, and will never prove that homosexuality isnt genetic in nature, and that it does the body any harm by being, therefore, it cant be a defect.Again, I’m sorry about your pain, but on this forum, political happenings are viewed through the spectrum of Catholicism loyal to Rome, not to mention common sense. Yup, you’re right… I’m from South Africa, and even I know thatI may be mixing up my Constitution ways again but I think the president has nothing to do with the amendment process. You need at least a 2/3 majority in the state legislatures or in the congress for it to be proposed and than 3/4 of the states have to approve it. The president might sign it but that is only ceremonial.
i truly hope they do.Yup, you’re right… I’m from South Africa, and even I know thatlol… Well anyway, even though prop 8 was democratically voted on(in cali at least), it wouldn’t surprise me if politicians stick their noses in

You have done a 180 degree turn from two days ago when you adamently declared legal = right … Are you willing to recant?i truly hope they do.
this is a case of someones rights being taken away from them, and prop 8 never should have made it that far to begin with, and only made it through based on lies and scare tactics. the campaign they ran was disgusting, and im not a big proponent of gay marriage, as i dont really plan on getting married. but this has opened my eyes that even if it doesnt effect me now, it could, and i should speak up for it.
what reality do you live in?You have done a 180 degree turn from two days ago when you adamently declared legal = right … Are you willing to recant?
And, can you pleaes cite a independent source which verifies your claims of scare tactics?
Also, NO ONES rights have taken away. It has never been legal for gay people to marry…
Before I go into the rest of your post, Here is your own comment:EDIT: and i declared that abortion is legal so theres no need to justify why one has one, its their right. i** never said legal=right**, YOU did, i never acknowledged you saying it.
To be found here:i therefore, do not think it is murder, and using the name of a crime for the word abortion, is wrong, hence me saying abortion is legal, legal=right.
hahaha… have you lost your mind… You’re the homosexual, remember?and the way you keep following me around threads, do you have a homosexual crush on me or something
my mistake, i did say it. in regards to abortion, and i stand by it. abortion is legal that makes it right. i didnt say everything legal is right, because that would imply everything illegal is wrong, and thats just dumb. Before I go into the rest of your post, Here is your own comment:

Okay fine… I don’t want to dis-rail this thread any further with abortion, so I’ll just stick to the gay marriage topic… I’ll probably only reply after work thoughmy mistake, i did say it. in regards to abortion, and i stand by it. abortion is legal that makes it right. i didnt say everything legal is right, because that would imply everything illegal is wrong, and thats just dumb.
