He may be wearing the ring because it has a special meaning for him, regardless of what it may say. I know plenty of people who wear crosses because it has a meaning for them that is not religious (and I am not refering to those who wear it for fashion). And even if Obama is secretly a Muslim? I couldn’t care less just like I couldn’t less that Romney is a Mormon. Just my thoughts 🙂
 
Obama is man of all seasons, jack of all trades, but expert of none.

It matters to people who would then have been lied to. He shouldn’t be secretly anything, if he is to be trusted as the President. That’s the point.

Basically, if he was a Muslim, you are asking “who cares if he lies?” Most people care when the president lies to them.

Besides the fact, it would kind of vindicate the people who were excoriated for years by the left when claiming he was Muslim.
 
My understanding is that if you were a Christian in an Arab country, you would refer to God as Allah because that would be the word for God in your language.

The Catholic Church has always believed that Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship the same God. I have never read the Koran, but my understanding is that it has passages about Abraham and Moses, just like the Christian Bible does.

Although they don’t think Jesus is God, they honor Him as a prophet. Also, Muslim women honor the Virgin Mary.

Perhaps Obama got the ring from his father or wears it in memory of his father.

Even if Obama IS a Muslim, he is still President. I never knew there was a requirement to belong to a certain religion to be President of the United States.

Just think, we could end up with a Mormon as President of the United States. My understanding is they don’t believe that Jesus is actually God either.

If any Muslims or Mormons are lurking here, perhaps you could correct me if I’m wrong.

When talking about the Qur’an, Obama always says “the Holy Qur’an”, but I’ve never heard him say “the Holy Bible”. And Muslims are allowed to lie about their faith to non-Muslims if it will further Islam. And they are allowed to temporarily act in ways that are considered immoral to the teachings of Islam when in the country of what they call the “infidels” if it is part of a Jihad that will somehow further Islam in the long run. Just sayin’…

In Islam, a Muslim is allowed to lie and go undercover and do whatever immoral things the unbeliever does while waging Jihad against an unbelieving country.

Most politicians lie at worst, or stretch the truth at best. If Obama is lying about his personal beliefs, that’s one thing. If he is lying about something where lives are endangered, that is an entirely different matter. I do agree with the above poster who says he is using the label to get more votes. But that’s my view of most politicians anyway, that they will lie to get more votes. Just a side note, I am under the impression that Romney’s position on abortion is to get him more votes and not because he personally believes that.

Check the Catholic Catechism and also what the Popes have written about it. God, the same God for Christian, Jew, and Muslem.
 
“Allah” means God, just do some history on that. He might mean it as “there is no God but God”. My problem is that the word “Allah” has evolved to mean the Muslim God only when that was not the true intent of the word. I did a thread on this once and nearly had my head handed to me, but I maintain that words evolve, and the word Allah has.

You’re one up on me. I don’t believe ANYTHING WND posts. Have you heard their latest? Not only is Obama a Kenyan-born Muslim of Indonesian citizenship, but he’s a homosexual as well!!!

BTW, WND is subtlely anti-Catholic with its 7th Day Adventist theology.

I put in no smilies because there is nothing funny about that bunch at WND.
