True, I see your point, but Muslims that worship in the US and speak English do not use the word “God” at mosques (or elsewhere), they say “Allah”. I understand that is their word for God but if your speaking English, why is there no automatic translation to “God”.

If I went to a Muslim country and spoke their language, I would use the word “Allah”, not “God”. Because they don’t make the transition it often gives the impression they are speaking of a god whos proper name is “Allah”.

An unmarried lady friend of mine does the same, she to ward off unwelcome advances. That’s one reason why.
That’s interesting. I wore one when I was a bachelor because it seemed that the women chased after married men. 😛

If Obama wears a ring that proclaims “There is no God but Allah”, isn’t that sufficient evidence by itself to suggest he believes in the words cited in the inscription? I am Catholic and would never wear such jewelry because it absolutely contradicts my Catholic beliefs.
You believe there is some other God than God? “Allah” is the same word for God used by Christians in countries that speak Arabic including those in union with Rome. It says there is one god. It’s the translation that makes it seem odd: it should be “there is no god but God.”

Muslims of a certain belief maybe think Allah is special only to them. We know better.

One God. One Allah. No matter what language you speak.

And I really could care less about his religion, anyway.

:tiphat: Then, my hat’s off to you. Sincerely. It’s great to have the tables turned and having the girls pursuing you! 🙂 🙂

P.S. Whether you’re married or not! 😃
