Official: Some Clinton emails 'too damaging' to release

I don’t know how anyone, other than those with their hands on this National Security release of Classified information, can proclaim to quote “facts”. The long wait for the powers that be, to have emails and papers coughed up for investigation, has compounded the crime with an apparent cover-up. So the “just the facts Mamm” have required digging with a bulldozer.

I agree with the others here, NO WAY that will ever happen, she is not the common criminal, the FBI and other investigators know she could make their life a living hell if they go against her in anyway, she is essentially above the law, if this were ANY other person, they would have been arrested a long time ago. Edward Snowden has to hide in Russia for basically doing the same thing!!

There really isn’t a comparison between the severity of the mishandling of Classified information by Gen Petraeus vis a vis Hilary Clinton.

Gen Petraeus stored info in a desk at home and shared his notes with his biographer, a member of the military (a government person :rolleyes:) He admitted his errors and received harsh condemnation and career ending.

Indeed. Petraeus was sharing national secrets with his mistress. Clinton was forwarded a New York Times article.

I’ve been that person, struggling to support my family. I was a single mother and had to work to support my children without the help of from anyone. The last thing I did was cry & whine about what the government didn’t help me with. I educated myself, and paid for it, I went to work, at times two jobs to pay for things like braces and broken bones. Provided a safe & secure home for my kids with food, clothing, and lots of love.

The thing is, I figured it was my responsibility to care for the children I brought into the world, went a bit further than just “pro-birth”, and I honored that obligation. I couldn’t be more proud of the adults my kids turned out to be. And all without the government stepping in to “help” me.

So no Lily, I would never support some guy who feels Americans aren’t capable of making their own choices and conforming themselves to the obligation of their choices.

Let’s throw a little hot laundry water with bleach on the above remark. The discussion is over criminal handling of Classified Materials and deliberate negligence. The female person that Petraeus shared classified info with, was a military member with Security Clearance engaged in writing a biography of the General. The classified was improperly stored and the offense was charged and punitive measure taken.

Blathering in an attempt to further confuse situations is too much to pull off. The defenders of Hilary Clinton are beginning to dwindle.

No, the discussion is over what is being classified years after the fact. The whole purpose of the classification system is to prevent information originating within the government from being made public. You can’t classify a press article that originated in the public domain, is viewed by millions of people, and remains in the public domain as top secret let alone years later nor can Clinton be accused of improperly storing or disseminating information that originated from the public. Public knowledge is not a secret. Petraeus shared classified information with his mistress. That information was not public.

I wasn’t making a value judgment, Horton, I was simply speculating why the American public wants someone so different they support Trump.

There is doubt she had classified emails on an unsecured server. Doesn’t matter whether she sent them or not. That is a felony. Anybody else would have ben indicted already. But then again anyone else would have went to jail over her cattle futures and, whitewater, and Rose law Firm activities. Why anyone would want 4 more years of lies and excuses is beyond me-8 years of the Clintons is more than enough

I’m not defending her, but even the State Department says they were not classified when Clinton sent them.

I think the government should let the voters know what is in the emails unless it threatens national security, and I doubt it does or they would have been classified. I’m not defending or condemning her.

Totally irrelevant. She received and stored on an unsecured server classified emails.

The Democratic Party? Most have nothing to do with it. It’s Clinton’s problem. Even Obama is outgoing and probably doesn’t care. He’ll probably write books. I don’t want to write books (but if I got the hefty advances he gets I’d force myself), but I wish my future were as secure as his.

Lily, if Hillary’s Chief of Staff attended a top secret meeting, then sent Hillary notes on the meeting that included references to secret information, the email is ‘born classified’.

It doesn’t matter that her Aide sent the email without tagging it ‘Top Secret’
