I found my fiance through Church. Try getting involved in some programs at your Church or a nearby parish if yours doesn’t offer much. The best part is that Mass and lunch make a great and inexpensive date when you are getting to know someone. I once heard someone refer to finding love at church as “cruising the Basilica” which conjures up a hilarious vision of driving slowly around the back of the church and flashing a cheesy smile from a convertible. That being said, I met my fiance through church-related activities so I advocate “cruising the Basilica”.

I think that any men who are moaning about finding a woman are either:
  • very clever and they are hoping to advertise that they are single, CONGRATS!
  • or need to man up! You need to fear God so you can be a great man if you are in this category! I am working really hard from my fear of God and I have no problem with Catholic women. Become a great man and you shall have a great woman - period… You don’t get a woman by moaning…
If you thought I was moaning, you are thoroughly mistaken.

I was expressing how awesome CountrySinger is. :hug3:

I don’t do complaining.

Also…

I have a date tonight. 👍

I know what you mean Layp3rs0n i live in England. Have a go at catholic dating sites.

This fat and unattractive woman found someone (see signature). 😃 I met him on CAF, and we are getting married on May 7th! Of course, he is in Scotland and I’m currently living in the Seattle area, so I’m selling/packing/giving away everything and moving there.

Keep your chin up, the alcohol well stocked, and stay fun! I know how miserable it is to be single. 😦

And now this smug coupled-up woman is leaving before I get flamed. 😛
oh wow. Congratulations! I’m so happy for ya 🙂

I agree with the general idea of what you’re saying, but I don’t think your last statement is entirely accurate. You could definitely be a great man, but that doesn’t mean you’ll meet any women.

I agree.

Being a great man isn’t a guarantee to finding a woman.

Blessings !!!

Not to necro this thread too mcuh…

But I have to agree, meeting sometimes at church is quite hard, it seems all the young single women (20s-30s) rush in last minute and leave after communion, skipping the blessing) - But I have seen some singles I would like to at least introduce myself too, but they are rushing out and I always stay till end of the last song.

I have dated, and recently out of a 6 month relationship with a great woman, but was still emotionally attached to her ex(s) and just on a differant path spirtually. I have yet to date a Catholic woman, though I have only be in full communion with the church for littler over a year. I may be asking too much too quick, but be nice to have someone to go to Mass and lunch with!

I have asked around the local parishes but they dont have a singles group. A Youth group o that is 18-25 or so is about all they have, or a teen dances, functions and retreats. There is the same for the 55+ crowd. Nothing for us in our 30s. In my area of Roanoke, Virginia there is 4 Catholic Churches each with 3-4 masses, plus a Maronite Catholic Church with 2 or 3 masses as well. Plus one that is about 30 miles down the road that is near Virginia Tech, that has a lot more activities, but it has a turn-over rate ever year or so from the University.

But as you can see I can talk and be a great communicator, I just pray God would bring me someone that can be a best friend, be there spirtually, emotionally, and give that 100%Also a little goofy at times, likes sports and Family Guy… Not too much to ask is it?

Scott, I feel your pain, there are no single men in my church. In fact I am the only one in my age group, I grew up going there and everyone from my age group either moved or stopped going to church.
