Books are technology. Technology is simply the purposeful application of information in the design, production, and utilization of goods and services and in the organization of human activities. The building you go to for Adoration and for Mass as well as the pew or chair you sit in are the products of technology. The clothes you wear to Adoration and Mass are the product of technology. If your priest uses a microphone at Mass to be heard–that is technology in Church. The candles used at Mass are the product of technology. The monstrance that the Christ is displayed in for your Adoration is the product of technology. I’m not sure that it is technology in Church/Adoration that you have an issue with as much as it is the way in which some people adore Christ.Adoration is Adoration.
My argument isn’t about books, it is about technology in Church, especially at Adoration.
The peace of Christ,
