He stuttered as a child but many children do and overcome it. He often talks about how he overcame stuttering.

 
Stuttering may come back as one ages.
e may do so for several possible reasons.
  1. Brain changes. Seniors may begin to stutter often due to neurogenic reasons. Perhaps a stroke has altered areas of their brain that control language processing and correct formulation of words. Perhaps a fall or bump may have caused a concussion or other mental conditions.
  2. Confusion. Advanced forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, may make it difficult to form or arrange words. This goes beyond “tip of one’s tongue” to aphasia, which is not being able to construct full sentences to find the right words.
  3. Emotional difficulties/return of past anxieties. Some of the other concerns of getting older may combine to make someone feel terrible emotionally, everything from financial anxieties to declining health can trigger difficulties expressing oneself or finding the proper words. Someone who may have stuttered as a child may see it return decades later if similar feelings of confusion, uncertainty, anxiety, and loneliness are present. This theory was suggested in a 2010 study from the U.S. National Library of Medicine’s National Institutes of Health.
  4. Medication changes. A stutter or unusual changes in diction or speaking patterns could be a side effect of certain pharmaceuticals, something that seniors may be taking more of than they did earlier in life.

So, just to be clear, gam, which reason do you attribute Biden’s problem to be, or do you just want to put things out there that others will speak to, leaving you with the moral high ground of “I never said that!”?

I have no idea why Biden stuttered. He has spoken clearly for years and has been very proud of the fact that he overcame stuttering as a child.

I have no idea why his voice is not clear when he calls himself " " husband. He did a short interview with Tom Hanks. on August 18th. Joe can’t remember his dates on elections.

Now, back to the topic and your offerings of explaining possible physical and/or mental issues Biden is dealing with.

In all your past professional experience in medical or psychiatric practice, how many Stuttering seniors have you clinically diagnosed as being physiological manifestations related to speech pathology, and how many attributed to manifestation of senile dementia?

Jill Biden seems to be an expert too as she claims, there is no way her husband has cognitive issues.

If you want to dispel all thought on Joe Biden and his cognitive ability, get him out there speaking. Let him hit the campaign trail or even do long zoom videos.

These 1 minute slots do not help. Sure he did a talk with Cardi B but that was about the past. Cardi B did a great deal of the talking… Let’s see him tackle the issues and answer questions then there would be no question on his ability to become president.

Joe did a minute interview with Tom Hanks and Tom Hanks looks to be rolling his eyes up.

Come on, man! Is that all you got?

Kind of reminds me of the fact that Gerald Ford often looked as clumsy as Trump walking down a ramp, but Ford was a transitional president who restored confidence in American democracy after the nightmare of Nixon. Joe stands to take on that same important role, so on screen gaffes don’t bother me.

And GW made more verbal mistakes than any modern President…like his policies or not, he never undermined our democratic institutions for his own gain…and unlike the current POTUS, I don’t think Joe will, either.

Joe has more than a speech disorder, he has cognitive loss. The democratic party did not initially realize it but it has gotten worse and they should have pulled his candidacy and not allowed him to continue. They are to blame for this.

He is being paraded around like the emperor with no clothes but this time the emperor does not have the ability to realize it. Ask the democratic party.
