This thread makes me proud to be a Catholic and not a Muslim. I have read most of the posts on this thread and a lot of other threads about Islam. These Muslim “apologists” appear to be so closed minded. It seems that they will use any argument they can just to have a reply. Especially Planten. I have been reading the Islam threads this whole week. It has given me even more proof that Islam is a religion of blind faith. Believe everything they say but don’t worry about the reason for it.

I read a Planten post the other day about Jesus being married and his source was the Divinci Code. I mean seriously. I thought it was a joke at first but he kept on pushing it. Are there historians who look at the divinci code as a historical fact?

These threads remind me of St. Paul’s words about the Jews having a veil that prevents them from seeing the truth. I believe if St. Paul was alive today he’d use the same argument for most Muslims.

I am from a Muslim country that has 99% Muslims and 1% of Christians. **I THANK MY GOD JESUS CHRIST THAT I WAS BORN INTO A CATHOLC FAMILY. **

Some of these replies given by Muslims on here are absolutely ridiculous.

It seems to me that Muslims would believe ANYTHING that supports their argument and would ignore everything that refutes their arguments. When will you people look at the facts for once?

I have a question for any Muslim to answer…

You say that St. Paul was a liar. Believe that if you want. BUT, can you answer why anyone would throw away everything and follow a lie? Why would anyone even DARE die for something he made up? **WHY WOULD SAINT PAUL DIE FOR A LIE? ** Why didn’t he deny his lie and move on with his life when he was being persecuted? When he was being jailed and given 40 lashes minus 1? What is he getting out of this?

Ask yourself, if you were Saint Paul and you made up a false religion and you were suffering and not benefiting a bit from it, would you suffer and die for such a lie? If yes, why?

Seriously, who are you trying to fool? I speak Arabic. I have never heard “Idribuhunna” being translated as anything other than “hit them”. The word LITERALLY means “hit them” (plural). A better way to say it is ithribuhum.

You will believe anything and everything Muslim scholars tell you. Please just look at the facts yourself and stop following Muslim “scholars”. They only tell you things you wanna hear.

it’s nice to have people on here from all over the globe. maybe sometime you can share some of your experiences living in a muslim dominated country. are you under sharia law?

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 460:
“Allah’s Apostle said, "If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.”

As to the toothbrush or whatever, i don’t know if one should laugh or cry …imagine reprimanding a woman, then deserting her sexually, then finally getting into the toilet to get a toothbrush to threaten her with…i mean…how can people believe such things is beyond me…but i can understand it if people just cannot grasp the beating part but they just cannot disregard the aya.

Tell your Muslim college friend that she is not a true Muslim, because she can’t go against Allah direct instructions:
(Quran 04:03):
“If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess. That will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.”

There is nothing in Quran nor Hadith which support her claim, and please tell your friend to register here at CAF to discover the truth about Islam.😉
 
Hjarek, what you said is true and it’s because of media/movies ecc…most in here think that all “western” women are as we see them in movies and want to give the impression that Muslim women are the ideal of chastety…welcome to the real world…there is covered prostitution even in SA, there is a huge number of homosexuals in the Arab world, women in SA are fleeing their homes, men travel to other countries to do what they want, women took off their veils as soon as they leave their areas ecc…it’s time people stopped blaming this or that country…immorality in the Arab world is as equal as that in other countries, it’ s just more covered.
 
thank you all for confirming the translation. i am curious to see how sister amy and muslim woman feel about such teachings.

i hope sister amy starts to realize she is being duped by the softer misleading version of islam she is being fed. at the very least she has to see that if clerics can distort teachings to make the religion easier for her than what does it say about it’s validity as a religion.

and not that this is funny, but i saw another video where the cleric (is that the right word or should i use inman?) was saying that you can beat your wife with a tooth pick…

… as opposed to tooth brush! sigh. it’s so absurd you almost have to laugh.

** Lyrikal, Islam is a completely rational religion full of wisdom and truth. Do not judge Islam by what the present day Muslims are doing.
About Paul, he was an enemy of Jesus. he had not spent even one day with Jesus. He was not an apostle. He reversed all teachings of Jesus. He introduced Trinity. He abondoned the Mosaic law which was truthfully followed by jesus and his close friends. Shall I have to write such things again and again?

Paul abondoned sabath. He permitted the consumption of the flesh of swine to followers of Jesus. That was because Paul wanted to lure the greeks (gentiles) into christianity and the greeks were great lovers of Pork. They would not be attracted if Pork was not allowed.

Now about his being killed.It is a simple matter. he was a false apostle and according to Deut 18:20, he was to be killed. Nobody could save him from death because it was the will of God that every false man (of God) will be killed. he tried to save himself but how could he get out of the clutches of his bad fate as aforesaid by God in Deut 18:20.

I hope you will not complain about what I had to write.**

Sorry Hadith is the second pillar in Islam, if you don’t believe in it then you wouldn’t be a true Muslim.

And for the Bible part, nothing better than (John 8:3-11):

No, lets not forget about the hadiths.
They are written for muslims to help them live their lives. And in those hadiths, it teaches men to beat their wives if they dont behave themselves.
Now, when it comes to Christians, we dont need such ‘rules’ because we use something called common sense with such things. Its simple, we dont hit each other.
But, if you really want some bible quotes from the bible:

38 'You have heard how it was said: Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.
39 But I say this to you: offer no resistance to the wicked. On the contrary, if anyone hits you on the right cheek, offer him the other as well;

Now these quote, which i doubt you will read anyway… :rolleyes: are telling us Christians to love our enemies, and not hit, to hurt or be mean in anyway, it only teaches us to love someone.
You muslims are taught to hit, we are taught not to hit, but to give out other cheek as well. I doubt you will understand this, but i posted it anyway. 😉
 
Muslims would love for us to forget about the ahadith because they absolutely demolish, disprove and discredit islam:D

or better still, there is a certain poster on here whose name begins with a P that cant make up his mind if he should use them or not. In one post he says he uses them, then the next he isnt. So what is it P, do you use them or not!!!

Planten, the reason I stopped responding to your thread in the other forum is because of your lack of understanding and inconsistencies. Here you are again making the same reasoning and your rationale instinct is childish or lack of wisdom. The more you argue, the more a person who, if a muslim with lesser intellect comes might convert to Christianity right away.
I have always asked your answer regarding your position on the “Book” (Bible) in which the quran teaches you to respect and source for guidance.
The NT which Paul became an apostle is a man whose gift of teaching is not even of his own wisdom but of God. The consistency of his writings is based on the scriptures written before him explaining these scriptures and testimonies with descriptive analysis that are powerful and authoritative, beyond intelligence of human nature. How can you compare that to muhammed? The difference is about good and evil because not only muhammed made so many errrors and contradictions, he was not able understand what the “Book” is all about.
This will be my last respond to you and good luck to your endeavours. I wish only to suggest that you should be factual and do not keep arguing with the same reason even though repudated wrongly in the past.
