He killed a human being. Zimmerman racially profiled someone, carried a gun with a permit which had given him the confidence to chase Trayvon that scare the *** out of Trayvon… That boy was scared and was angry to be stalked. Trayvon Martin’s life was in danger and acted in self defense. He didn’t know that this nutbag had a gun.
The FBI already said otherwise. He did not mention race in the call until specifically asked by the operator.

In addition, the prosecution entered no evidence that any racial profiling was done. Do you have any evidence to offer, or is your statement pure conjecture on your part?

They’re already going after NBC. I’d sue all of them and see if I could bring Nancy up on charges. Besides SHE used racial slurs. Get her for that too.
there is a good article written by alan dershowitz on newsmax.com.

he said they should investigate prosecutorial misconduct and the fact that zimmermans’ civil rights were violated.

Why are so many people “second guessing” the jury on this case?

The jury was fairly chosen by prosecution and defense, and was made up of TWELVE (12) UNBIASED people.

THEY…not everyone with an opinion, or everyone in the street mob heard the facts of the case argued. THEY rendered a verdict.

Why do Americans exhibit so little faith in the jury system? It is far less corruptible than the Triumvirate of Roman Law, for example.

Our President, and our Attorney General (BOTH OF WHOM ARE LAWYERS) should promote respect for our system of justice…not pander to mob emotion.

Why does the left wing media keep referring to Zimmerman as a “white” Hispanic…are they trying to stir up the race card…isn’t this profiling “white” people a racists…Obama had a “white” mom…should he be referred to as a “white” African American…maybe even an African American “cracker”

Those who still want justice want lynch mob justice which is ironic since I thought the civil rights movement was about abolishing that.

To me the overwhelming tone in this thread has been accusatory of a young boy simply walking home from the store
I think the response from the right in the Media is shocking, fancy praising the Lord for this tragic shooting of an innocent young teenager who had been profiled as being a suspect of someone up to no good.

I hope this bites the left in the you know where with the Hispanic vote come election time.

It fits the liberal agenda… to stir up controversy IMO.

George Zimmerman was found NOT GUILTY BY A JURY. So what do you want to do lynch George Zimmerman?

Thats because you don’t agree with the rightful outcome.

it should have gone to a grand jury first, but the governor appointed the special prosecutor who, herself, might be in trouble. the charges were filed without a grand jury. maybe if it had gone to a grand jury first, they would have seen that they didn’t have much of a case.
I believe strings were pulled from higher up the chain to force this case to a trial and turn it into a civil rights case. I won’t mention any names, but I am sure you can guess who the 2 people I am thinking of put pressure on to bring this to trial.
There was a lot going on behind the scenes and frankly in the spotlight. As you said the race baiters were out in force, the special prosecutor engaged in really egregious conduct. When the original Police Chief failed to bring charges as he could see there was not a winnable case, he was tossed out just as the SP Corey’s former assistant was tossed out after disclosing that SP Corey failed to provide information and falsified the indictment. I have to be wondering what was going on in her head. Dershowitz made the same claims from the outset, this is not Monday Morning quarterbacking. Either she is incredibly incompetent or so arrogant that she didn’t think she’d be caught. I remember her during the initial period being OVERLY slobbery and obsequious with respect to Mr and Mrs Martin. As a prosecutor, she should not have displayed such overt bias toward one side.

BTW I heard an interesting perspective, that while even the Prosecution realized it was not a winnable case, by bringing it to trial by disclosing the information that had been hidden or never disclosed to the public, they were able to prevent this from escalating overnight as it might have.

I noticed many of the signs at the “Justice for Trayvon” protests displayed Socialist Workers insignia and provided support for other Leftist causes, rather than reflecting any objection to the case.

The whole thing was really a tragedy of errors.

Actually, there were 6 people on the jury

Why do you persist in repeating falsehoods? Further your post calling Zimmerman a “nutbag” and claiming YOU know more than the FBI which had already done an investigation regarding the racial aspects of the case is most uncharitable.

So you know more than the FBI that did the investigation? You interviewed more than the three dozen witnesses that the FBI interviewed?

You know what was going on inside of Zimmerman’s head?

Really?

Because Hispanic isn’t a race? It’s an ethnicity. When you fill out your census, they ask if you are Hispanic or non-Hispanic, then they ask what race you are. So there is White Hispanic, Black Hispanic, etc.

Except he wasn’t just walking home. If all he had done was walk home nothing would have happened. Instead he beat a mans head repeatedly onto concrete in an attempt to kill or seriously maim him.

Was Z found not guilty specifically due to justifiable homicide or simply failure to convict?

I think the jury got it right.

I think Zimmerman did everything wrong up until he shot Martin. I think he made false assumptions about Martin and was incredibly dumb to get out of his car. I don’t believe he was looking for a street sign. I think Martin acted like many teenagers would if they felt someone was following them: fight them. Once again, a stupid thing to do but Martin was a teenager and teenagers often make adrenaline based decisions.

Zimmerman set in motion a chain of events that never should have been set in motion. Once he called the cops, his job was done. No need to get out the car, no need to follow, no need for anything other than waiting for the cops to arrive.

That being said, I do not find it a reasonable conclusion that Zimmerman would have sat on top of Martin, pulled out a gun and shot him in cold blood. Its a much more reasonable conclusion that they fought, tussled, and Martin wound up on top punching Zimmerman. Would Martin have killed Zimmerman? I doubt it. However, Zimmerman didn’t have 20/20 hindsight, he reasonably thought his life was in danger and shot in self defense.

I think Zimmerman set in motion this tragic chain of events, but I don’t think he’s guilty of murder or manslaughter.
