You’re assuming again. GZ could have easily have initiated the fight. It too is plausible.
It seemed to me like the prosecution/mainstream media was trying to argue that TM was justified in attacking GZ because GZ was following him.

What is your source Trayvon Martin initiated the attack?

The only thing we know is that George Zimmerman was found not guilty of murder and other charges. There are 4 minutes where we basically only have Zimmerman’s narrative.

One and only one of the Jurors as of now states she believes Martin threw the first punch.

However, a finding of Zimmerman being not guilty is not a statement of fact that Martin initiated the struggle.
I think your points are very astute, BroomWagon. It is staggering to read that people on here keep stating things as if they happened, when there is in fact no way of knowing whether or not they did.

What we do know is that Zimmerman followed Martin in his car, called police, followed Martin on foot, and shot Martin dead. The rest is pure supposition.

The insistence that Zimmerman’s head was being bashed into the concrete was his defence, but expert testimony also said this could have been caused by one punch and fall to the ground.

The jury was agreed upon by both sides, and the case was decided. We have a choice of either accepting that decision or insisting on lynch mob justice.

If TM felt his life may be in danger, of course he could have justifiably initiated the fight.

?
I haven’t seen any poster say we should “whip up the lynch mob?”🤷
what possible good can come of this pointless argument over who threw the first punch? who does it benefit except the lynch mob and others who won’t accept the finality of the jury’s verdict?

Is supporting a man beating another’s head pro life?
TM didn’t kill Zimmerman. If I was suspiciously being racially profiled, stalked by a nutbag in my neighborhood, I would beat the **** out of that nutbag. I wouldn’t kill him. It is unneccessary.

No Catholic Pro Lifers should celebrate and praise the verdict! This case unfortunately turned into politics just because Obama was showing Christian compassion for TM. People have become so politically charged and are putting that as a priority over human dignity. And I can see that being displayed here on this site which is being high jacked by a political group. This political group put on a fascade of religiousity and piousness using CATHOLICISM but with an evil intent… I’ve seen in being displayed in actual rally, I’ve experienced it and am seeing this same thing here on this site being high jacked by pseudo fake Christians.

I did not say that the jury’s decision should not be accepted. As far as I can see, it had little choice given Florida’s ludicrous laws. But that doesn’t mean that people can suddenly pretend things happened when there is no evidence that they did.

none of that makes any sense.

that I’m a prolifer (like every catholic) doesn’t have anything to do with whether I like the verdict. I accept the verdict because the jury did its job.

you’ve got to accept the fact that you lost, and complaining about it will do nothing. the only six people whose opinion counts on what the evidence means disagree with you.

Not wanting to see a man wrongly thrown in jail for decades is counter to being pro-life? We follow the rule of law, and mourn the loss of Trayvon.

What is wrong is the following:
  • assuming because people are glad man who is not-guilty of legal murder is going to walk free are somehow glad that Trayvon died. No one is glad Trayvon died, and to pretend you think that just to take shots at the pro-life movement highlights your agenda.
  • clearly not knowing what you are talking about when it comes to the legal system and the law in question
  • somehow linking your angst to the Tea Party, which shows the agenda in your rant to use this as a political tool, calling into question your sincerity
  • calling other Catholics atheists, which violates forum rules
  • likening them to Nazis, which violates forum rules
That’s a whole lot of wrong in one post, wow.
So, in other words, you are condoning a murder! Wow!

One punch can kill a man.
