WASHINGTON – The White House says President Barack Obama is making a late-night statement but is not announcing the topic that he will discuss.

Officials say the statement could come as early as 10:30 p.m. EDT.

It is highly unusual that the president would make a late-night statement with not even a hint about what he would discuss.

Major network are reporting Bin laden is dead.

Just saw Bin Laden’s dead. Probably going to try and score some political points.

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is dead, and the U.S. has his body in its possession, a person familiar with the situation said Sunday.
President Barack Obama will make the announcement late Sunday at the White House.
The development capped a manhunt of more than a decade for the architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that left 3,000 people dead and dramatically altered U.S. foreign policy and the nation’s sense of security.

We killed him, we have his body. We lost over 3,000 people on 9/11 and all you can do is make nasty remarks instead of giving praise when praise is due–to our servicemen and women. You’re the one trying to make it political.

Hmmm…why didn’t they capture him and put him on trial? There will probably be a bunch of people hailing him as a martyr now.

I hope this development does not cause an uproar in the Arabic states. While not rejoicing in any man’s death, I hope that the evil he could cause will be avoided by this military action.

I think he was killed by predator drones (so there was no one there to capture him). Maybe this will stop the protests here, protests against the predator drones.

CNN is saying he was in a mansion outside Islamabad the capital of Pakistan, not in a remote location.

Ah, I heard they found him and killed them right there. But what you say is a possibility.

If you go to the CNN website, you will see a picture of Bin Laden. Right underneath the picture of that happy news is a picture of Bl. John Paul II, with a story about his beatification.

What a juxtaposition! What a great day!

May Divine Mercy be extended to his soul.

Since The U.S. has the body and I believe that Muslim law dictates that it must be buried within a certain time, there might be problems with Muslims on this point. That is unless we give him a lawful burial, which is not likely.

Hopefully this will hamper Al-Qaeda and their actions and support.

Was that nasty?

I didn’t think so.

Oh well. Just telling it like it is.

I give all the credit to our servicemen and women, kind of makes me wish I was still serving right now.
