I agree. The whole ‘back to the past’ thing just doesn’t work for me; neither do the claims to superior values.I don’t know. I do know that I can’t ever see myself voting for an Individual holding the basic tenets of the Conservative American political ideology.
uh, oh. Remember what happens to Fingolfin! Though his ending was glorious!!Fingolfin rides out to do battle with Melkor…
the Rasmussen poll is a reliable poll in my opinion.A Rasmussen poll from today has Obama with a 1 point lead over Romney. Hopefully over the summer when Romney is able to focus on Obama’s failures instead of having to defend himself from attacks from Santorum and Gingrich, the voters will respond.

I am not going to try to convince you that its wrong for a catholic to vote for Obama because I think we’ve been through that already. Is there any scenario that you could imagine in which Obama does something to cause you to not vote for him?

I suppose if he was like Mitt Romney and signed into law a health care plan that provides unlimited taxpayer funded abortion and then shook himself like a etch-a-sketch and pretended he was pro-life - I would definitely question his integrity. Is there any scenario that you could imagine in which Obama does something to cause you to not vote for him?

Oh don’t pick on them! He’s all they’ve got!I suppose if he was like Mitt Romney and signed into law a health care plan that provides unlimited taxpayer funded abortion and then shook himself like a etch-a-sketch and pretended he was pro-life - I would definitely question his integrity.
In fact, I’d be the first to start calling him Obamney!![]()
Oh, overconfidence works for me. The more overconfident Obama and his supporters are, the lower the turnout will be. Keep it up until election day please.Oh don’t pick on them! He’s all they’ve got!![]()
I think a lot of voters will go for dull and boring if they believe that he might provide some relief from the high gas prices, turn the economy around, and control spending so the next generations don’t get stuck having to foot the bill. Also, given how unpopular Obamacare is, I am sure that Romney’s plan to repeal it will help him.Romney is like the GOP version of John Kerry. Like watching paint dry. . . .
I think he should grow a goatie personally. . . .
Or maybe a mullet. . . .
Oh, I was only referring to the above post. I am not over-confident at all. I am especially concerned that portions, or the entirety of the Affordable Health Care Act will be struck down by the Supreme Court.Oh, overconfidence works for me. Romney’s got no traction on Conservatives and health care, no matter how he spins it. This simply isn’t a strong issue for him.I think a lot of voters will go for dull and boring if they believe that he might provide some relief from the high gas prices, turn the economy around, and control spending so the next generations don’t get stuck having to foot the bill. I disagree. It looks like it might be possible for the GOP to win the Senate. If that happens then they would repeal Obamacare and Romney would sign it. Romney doesn’t need to be have a conservative record on healthcare to get votes. Trust me, conservatives do not want Obama re-elected. They will vote for Romney. They will enthusiastically vote against Obama by voting for Romney.Romney’s got no traction on Conservatives and health care, no matter how he spins it. This simply isn’t a strong issue for him.

Pray the Rosary for the Supreme Court to declare Obamacare and the HHS mandate unconstitutional. Pray for Justice Kennedy.
Wow, you’re really asking a lot - you want me to take your word that your interpretation of some poli sci textbooks have it all figured out. Gee, thanks for enlightening me! Now I know where to go to get all the correct political information. I am sure that Dick Morris, Ed Gillespie and all the other political pundits go to academic textbooks to draw their conclusions. Not.Other than that, I’ll trust my political science textbooks over you. The base of the parties turn out less when a moderate is elected. They don’t turn out more or even the same as if a Conservative or Liberal were elected. When a moderate is on the ticket turnout of the respective party’s base is always lower. And you don’t have to trust me on that, trust all the number crunching, data analyzing, thesis writing Political Scientists who publish extensive research on this kind of stuff.
I think you have to look at your textbooks and current environment as well. Don’t be like those pesky engineer’s, they can’t do anything without a calculator…ducks…Pray the Rosary for the Supreme Court to declare Obamacare and the HHS mandate unconstitutional. Pray for Justice Kennedy.
The attorney general of Virginia said today on The World Over with Raymond Arroyo that he now moved from “cautiously optimistic” to even more optimistic after he listened to the 5 hours of oral arguments. He said he could see 5 votes against the mandate, as well as against the whole law.

Well said, Bocephus. You said in one short sentence what it took me two paragraphs to say .Romney won’t bring out the base, Obama will.
i agree. CANNOT! CANNOT! CANNOT!I personally lean Santorum----believe him to be the best representative of my values and of my faith----------but realistically I have to admit this is almost certainly going to be Romney’s show.
While I have strong reservations about Romney’s personal qualifications for the job -------and also his religion (to be honest), they are NOT enough to hinder my voting for him in November. We cannot have four more years of Obama, period.
Cannot.
Indeed.
i agree. CANNOT! CANNOT! CANNOT!
