Listening to and respecting - obeying - the local bishop is one of the “fruits” that would be consistent with an authentic marian apparition. They do leisten to and respect their Bishop and that is why do not hold any appraition related “stuff” on church property.

Challenging the local bishop is a different kind of sign. If it is a genuine marian apparition, the leaders would say, ok, we think it is genuine, but we will cease all communications and publications regarding the apparitions, and discourage all pilgrims, at this time, because the Church’s only position thus far is that no, it is not supernatural in origin. No speeches, no Medjugorje conferences, no websites, no new hotels, nothing; for now. Maybe for always. Since the Church has not ruled that it is not supernatural then this whole statement is irrelevant

If, and when, the Church takes a different position, then, we will resume communications about revelations, publications, conferences, etc, and encourage pilgrimages. But for now we will respect the only position the Church has taken, as through our local bishop. The CDF has ruled that they take the stance of the 1991 Yugoslavian bishops ruling. That nothing as been determined. either way. Nobody is being disobedient to the Local Bishop!

If they were willing to put it on hold for now, **that **would be a powerful sign. If it really is supernatural in origin, Medjugorje could be resumed in 5 years or so, if the Church authorized it. It would not be hurt at all by the pause. God could communicate in other ways, in other places. Put what on hold? “Oh hey yeah blessed Mother? Is it possible to have stop coming to see us because commmenter on CA forums thinks it will show how respectful and Obedient we are to the church!
Would that be Alright ?”.
As you know because it has been pointed out to you several times that the CDF is in control of whether the apparitions are/aren’t of supernatural origins. As of right now the CDF has not made that determination. They has stated that the Church will follow the 1991 Statement made by the Yugoslavian Bishops. The CDF has NOT disapproved of any private person or Clergy from going to Medjugorje as a pilgrim.
