you mean I don’t have the luxury to live without shame of belonging to God?
Try and find kindred souls in people like Pope St John Paul II who spent the first few years as a seminarian studying in an underground seminary in Poland pretending to not be Catholic in public. Or the Chinese Church who’ve produced many wonderful Catholic faithful who have sacrificed to love God. It’s a great grace to be constant and faithful when under opression.you mean I don’t have the luxury to live without shame of belonging to God?
No, the entire point of the ashes in my opinion is to remind us hat we are dust, and to dust we shall return. The entire point of the ashes is to show we belong to God and are not ashamed of those beliefs.
No. I mean you don’t have the luxury of demonstrating your Catholic traditions, etc. You don’t seem to be understanding that when you aren’t paying your way, you don’t get to do what you want. If you do, then that is gravy.you mean I don’t have the luxury to live without shame of belonging to God?
Would that include these?I’m worried about a slippery slope effect. my dad added on that in this house we won’t have “Catholic symbols” and if ash reminding us of something that he and I both agree on (that we are from dust and will return again), is causing such commotion, what else will I not be able to do at home?
