That would be the Maxine Waters way of dealing with those with whom she disagrees.

Conservatives are far more tolerant. They don’t call together mobs of marauding blockheads wearing black balaclavas just because someone disputes their position.

Good question.

I would suppose anything that she is convinced would get her re-elected in her district, although the actual content of those beliefs would be something like “the antithesis of whatever Trump says or does.”
 
9/11 was an incident yes. It happened once 17 years ago this fall.
When was the latest school shooting in the US? Note that several of those incidents happen every year.

Pearl Harbor was also a mere incident.

9/11 destroyed 16 square blocks of down town Manhattan … made a crater 70 feet deep … killed … mostly vaporized … 3000 people … THREE THOUSAND .

Demolished major portions of the huge Pentagon building …

Hijacked and pulverized four airliners … and their passengers.

Sorry, friend … more than an incident.

And she knew it … which is why she tried to back it off.

Go visit the three sites.

It was a first magnitude disaster.

I don’t know what you problem is with the word “incident.” The definition is:

“an event or occurrence”

The word carries no indication of magnitude. There can be all sorts of incidents, including disastrous ones. Referring to something as an incident does not preclude it also being a disaster. Perl Harbor was an incident too - another disastrous incident. But that does not mean every time we mention it we must also say it was a disaster. You are picking at the nit-pickiest of nits. Go find something real to complain about, OK?
 
I think the issue is exaggerated probably because every single word that President Trump says is blown up way out of proportion and turns into a news cycle for weeks… Sure it was more than a little incident. And she should have recognized it, but she has made worse misstatements in the past year…

Why did you find it necessary to add the word “little” to incident? Did Pelosi say “little”? Or are you too trying to make Pelosi’s words sound worse than they are?
 
Sorry I did not mean to add anything to her words. I was kind of defending her in this instance… 🙂
