Here is a far better example set by an elected official. Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti puts himself where his mouth is.

The LA public unions are fighting the manure out of this. Nothing new from them.

Zzyzx_Road . . .
Have a look at the family connections behind Newsom’s winery.
And let’s not forget Pelosi’s “whinery” either! 😄

The big question is: If 80-year-old Nancy Pelosi is comfortable being served at the salon without a mask, then why in the world have regular civilians been prevented from entering that very same salon, even with a mask?

The Democrats have forced many permanent closings of businesses with the needless lockdowns. Zero compassion for hard-working Americans.

They let rioters and illegals run rampant in the streets while interfering with our livelihoods. They have no legitimacy.

You do understand this letter is going to say whatever Nancy wants it to say. It means nothing. And yes, I do know it’s from the lawyer of the stylist, but you can bet Nancy’s people talked to the stylist’s people.

“Rules for thee, but not for me.”
What’s really irritating is that Pelosi is 80 years old. 80 years old. Let that sink in for a moment as you watch the video of her participating in a banned activity without a mask.
To say nothing of the fact that nobody would be judgmental about an 80-year-old woman’s hair.
No one cared about Golda Meir’s hair, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s hair, etc.

You see, this is what happens when society lets women, particularly elderly women, work outside the home, especially in high political positions. Pelosi’s place, like that of all women, is at home playing with her grandchildren and drinking Ensure.

No. i don’t see where this has to do with this topic. Pelosi has been going around telling everyone to wear masks. And obey the rules. That is for everyone else except her. Where does she get off by telling everyone to obey the rules except for herself? It has nothing to do with grandmothers staying at home with their grandchildren.

Nancy Pelosi calls for CDC to mandate Americans wear masks amid surge in coronavirus cases

This kind of leftist hypocrisy over corona virus and all the hysterics are of course not limited to Nancy Pelosi.

Here was Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot doing the same basic thing back in April, then lying about wearing a mask.

Mayor Lightfoot Criticized After Post Shows Her Getting Haircut During Stay-At-Home Order

By Dana Kozlov April 6, 2020

CHICAGO (CBS) — Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been adamant that people stay home and socially distance for weeks.

But a social media post from the woman who cut the mayor’s hair this weekend has some wondering if Lightfoot is saying one thing and doing another.

As CBS 2 Political Investigator Dana Kozlov reported, the stylist in the post, Cashmere Neal, thanked the mayor for allowing her to cut her hair on Sunday. And in the photo, the two are standing inches apart without masks.

Mayor Lightfoot on Monday was asked about the photo, whether it is acceptable social distancing, and any concerns that it might be a matter of, “Do as I say, not as I do.”

“We are trying to do the best that we can under difficult circumstances. I am practicing social distancing. The woman who cut my hair had a mask and gloves on,” Lightfoot said. “So we’re, I’m practicing what I’m preaching and making sure. I don’t typically take pictures these days. But we are trying to do everything we can to emphasize the messages around social distancing, washing your hands, stay at home. But as an elected official and the public face of the city, I need to make sure that I am out there and visible.” . . . .

. . . Hairstylists and barbers are not on the state’s list of essential businesses and are expected to be closed.

Others have also reached out to us about concerns that the mayor is not always social distancing at other public events.

She was asked about that – other instances – but defended her social distancing actions and said she takes it seriously . . .
Bold mine.

. . . “I’m the public face of this city. I’m on national media and I’m out in the public eye.”

The mayor added that the public is more concerned with other issues. “I think what really people want to talk about is, we’re talking about people dying here. We’re talking about significant health disparities" . . .

Illinois Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s wife was also breaking the Illinois travel ban to go to Florida about the same time.

I live in SoCal, and see my stylist every 2 weeks in her salon. She wears a mask almost all the time. I take mine off as she does my hair and when I’m under the dryer. She has one person in at at time.

Why is Pelosi’s hair an issue? This is a non-story.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem Swoops in With a Sweet Offer for CA Salon Owner After Pelosi Dust-Up

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem announces on Monday, June 22, 2020, that city and county governments will be able to access federal coronavirus relief funds as she speaks at the Sioux Falls city hall in S.D. (AP Photo/Stephen Groves

. . . San Francisco hair salon owner Erica Kious is receiving bad reviews and death threats after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accused her of a “set up” after video footage was published Tuesday of Pelosi getting a haircut and highlights sans mask at the salon at a time when salons are shuttered thanks to mandates forbidding them to open for full services during the pandemic.

Kious told Fox News’s Tucker Carlson that it’s likely her business will have to permanently shut down thanks to those mandates, which she says are responsible for her losing 60% of her clients:
“We’re pretty much done. We’ve lost at least 60 percent of our clients. I’ve lost the majority of my staff. Six months is a long time to be closed down.”
“The hard part of all of this is that I have been in that community for 12 years. And since this happened, I have received nothing but hate. Text messages, death threats. They’re going to burn my hair salon down. My Yelp! page is just unbelievable, [filled] with bad reviews. It’s sad that my community is pulling this.” . . .
. . . South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem ( R ) watched the interview and made this offer to Kious in response:
My heart goes out to Erika. As a former female small business owner, I can only imagine how crushing these last few months have been. And now THIS!?

Erika, if you want to run your salon in a state that respects Freedom and won’t shut you down, then South Dakota is open for you. . . .
. . . As Media Research Center noted, Noem is one of five governors who have “refused to issue a statewide stay-at-home order or mandated that businesses shut down amid the coronavirus scare.”

Last month, Noem declined an offer from the Trump administration for an extension of unemployment benefits, saying the state didn’t need it.

1cthlctrth . . .
Wait for it…it’s “Trump’s fault” that Nancy Pelosi didn’t wear a mask . . .
You were absolutely correct! (You can’t make this stuff up. The left has become their own “Onion” or “Babylon Bee”).

CNN’s Cuomo on Pelosi Salon Visit: ‘Maybe She Was Listening to the President’

2 Sep 2020

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime,” host Chris Cuomo reacted to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) visit to a salon where she didn’t wear a mask by remarking that Pelosi might be “falling under the influence” of President Trump.

“AC360” guest host John Berman discussed the Pelosi story and stated that Pelosi didn’t offer any proof for her setup claims and should know the rules in her own city. . . .

. . . . So, yes, it is fair to criticize the House Speaker, who should have known better. But it’s fair to criticize anyone who breaks the restrictions, guidelines, and just plain common sense we all should live by.”

Berman then handed off to Cuomo, who stated, “Maybe she was listening to the president who said masks are weakness, who’s always encouraging people to take off masks, who held his big speech about how to control the pandemic in front of a crowd that was largely without masks. Maybe Pelosi’s falling under the influence.”

Even more irony here is Chris Cuomo could say the same thing about his brother, the Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo (except President Trump is not the one making these mask mandates, people like Andrew Cuomo are.
And Pelosi has done enough political finger wagging against others on this issue where she should have known better).

I think it’s because the salons were ordered shut in SF.

It matters because this specific salon was one of many that were shut down for several months.

Back during the height of the shutdown in the “progressive” town where I lived, black market hair cuts were a real status symbol…Btw…I was offered a black market hair cut…I declined 😇. People literally would have Zoom conversations like…shut it all down…jail the rule breakers…close the University forever…Oh wow where did you get you hair done…I just got mine done recently. This really was a huge thing from a few months ago.

Kayleigh McEnany was her usual awesome self:

Apparently, the rules do not apply to Speaker Nancy Pelosi,” said McEnany. “She wants small businesses to stay shut down but only reopen for her convenience.”

She added, “‘Do as I say, not as I do,’ says Nancy Pelosi.”

McEnany then attacked Pelosi on the stalled coronavirus relief package.

“Nancy Pelosi is holding up $1.3 trillion in relief for the American people while getting special access to the very kind of small businesses this money would support — businesses like this hair salon.”

Pelosi got her hair done inside eSalon on Monday — even though California salons are currently only allowed to conduct business outdoors.
