On the other hand I thought Mrs Pelosi’s hair looked really good for a woman of her age. Now that she has blamed the salon owner for her decision, maybe she will have to make do with a second rate hair styllist. That may be punishment enough.

While many in the mainstream media have predictably rushed to defend House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s hypocritical Monday trip to a shuttered San Francisco hair salon for a haircut and highlights, at least one journalist has dared to go against the grain with critical comments condemning her actions and her excuse-making and blame games.

San Francisco salon owner Erica Kious has received bad reviews and death threats after Pelosi (D-CA) bizarrely accused her of a “set-up” over the leaked video footage, which was published…

Kathryn Watson, a White House reporter for CBS News digital, took to the Twitter machine not long after the news first broke of Pelosi’s display of double standards. Watson first responded to a tweet reporting that a spokesman for Pelosi proclaimed she didn’t know she’d done anything wrong by going to the salon.

“The closed signs on the salons might be a good indicator” that it’s closed, Watson pointed out, noting that one salon not far from where her parents live had a sign clearly posted on the front door noting it was closed thanks to California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom…

…The next day, Watson made it clear she wasn’t buying Pelosi’s preposterous claim of a “set-up” . . .

. . . Pelosi has spent months – months – alleging Republicans are putting people’s lives at risk when they don’t follow recommended CDC guidelines and when they call for businesses to be allowed to reopen so people can feed their families and pay their bills.

In fact, the very day of her salon appointment (Monday) Pelosi went on MSNBC to lecture Trump and the GOP on mask-wearing and social distancing during the Republican National Convention.

Pelosi has no one to blame but herself for this situation. . .
. . . are trying to destroy Kious for pointing out the obvious of why it should be okay for her salon to open for everyone if exceptions can be made for powerful Democrats like Pelosi.

Watson is right on the money here. Pelosi feigning ignorance about what the rules are in her state and claiming this was all a “set-up” is a very bad look for her, no matter how nice her haircut and highlights might look when she appears on MSNBC and CNN for puff-piece interviews.

MICHIGAN Gov Gretchen Whitmer and her husband reportedly tried to use their boat last minute during Memorial Day weekend — despite her own coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

Tad Dowker, owner of boat docking company NorthShore Dock LLC, wrote on Facebook on Thursday that Whitmer’s husband, Marc Mallory, requested that his boat be placed in the water before the holiday weekend, according to The Detroit News.

His request came after the Democratic governor had urged Michigan residents not to flood the area where the boat was located.

Dowker wrote online: “… I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend.”

“Being Memorial weekend and the fact that we started working three weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen.”

“Well our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied, ‘I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?’” Dowker claimed Mallory said… . .

. . . Whitmer issued a stay-at-home order for Michigan on March 23, and on May 18, she announced plans to lift restrictions in Lower Michigan and the Upper Peninsula ahead of the holiday weekend.

“If you don’t live in these regions … think long and hard before you take a trip into them,” Whitmer said, and added: “A small spike could put the hospital system in dire straits pretty quickly.”

“That’s precisely why we’re asking everyone to continue doing their part. Don’t descend on Traverse City from all regions of the state.”

Whitmer and Mallory live in Lansing, the state capital, but own a property in the Elk Rapids area.

According to The Detroit News, the property owned by Whitmer and Maorry is roughly 25 minutes from Traverse City.

She is not the only Democrat who sets rules which are for everyone else except herself.
