“I find I am feeling differently about Catholics since being here, and I don’t like it.”
So you prefer timid Catholics who don’t stand up for their beliefs?
How in the world can one feel differently about millions of members of a religion based on reading the posts of a few members (fewer than 2 dozen) on an Internet board, unless that person is predisposed to feeling that way about the milliions? You’re not treating Catholics as individuals, but as representatives of a whole, so that anything that one does is representative of all the others, and of the religion itself.
You came here only to find some good ammunition to use against us–specifically those of us Catholics who were once Jewish–so don’t try to sound like you’re the one taking the high road, as if you were after open and honest eccumenical discourse, for understanding and to improve relations between our two religions.
