That all depends on the environment you work in. There are lots of working environments that are open and accepting and people don’t have to keep their religion or personal beliefs private. Other environments are more hostile. I have two homosexual women that work with me and they’re both grown woman and have long since figured out that not everyone accepts homosexuality as a perfectly harmless lifestyle. (One of them actually IS the boss.) They don’t push their views on others and no one pushes their views on them. I’m certain there is a respectful way the OP can decline to view a photo book. (if one is pushed under his nose in the first place.)There’s a lot of idealism on this thread, but the fact is that making your religious convictions known at work is generally a bad thing. It’s worse when those convictions are directed at a coworker. By all means, tell him that you’ll look later and just never get around to it. But neither your coworkers, nor your boss are going to likely be impressed with you announcing to your coworker that his sinful family makes you uncomfortable.
