Yes, they are losing 10.6% of their governmental money. They are still getting almost 90% of that half a billion dollars, so, this is a mere drop in the ocean.
 
And at that rate, in more than a century Planned Parenthood will not receive governmental money.
 
Don’t you mean decade or two? Still I think it will be far sooner than that. Why they’re receiving any government funding is beyond me. As if the fact that it was founded by someone fond of Hitler and his ideology, and who actually met with him, wasn’t enough; it’s actually a guise to put that ideology into action through the infanticide of those deemed to be “feeble minded.”

Planned Parenthood receives half a billion dollars in government grants and reembursements (see their 2018 annual report.

The current cut is around 11% of that half a billion.

Do NOT take my word for it. Throw it in an Excel spreadsheet, reduce by that same “significant” percentage every year and see how long it takes to defund half a billion dollars.

This is a small table scrap thrown to good hearted pro lifers in order to keep their votes.

Yes, it’s political posturing before the election.
They are giving the Dems campaign ammo without really hurting themselves.

Their ‘doctors’ also preserve their abortion cash flow, the one that pays for their Mercedes and second home 🙂

Ugh. Ever try looking at the glass half full? Do you ever pray for Planned Parenthood to be defunded? If you do, you ought to take a lesson from St. James.

at 10 percent per year it takes over a century.

100 dollars less 10 percent is 90. 90 less 10 percent is 81. 81 less 10 percent is 72.9 etc.
 
Agree but since Trump is behind this positive no one opposed to him will see anything but a glass half empty. :roll_eyes:
 
You’re right. But in 6 years, you have it cut over 50% . The later years, you’re talking about pennies.

100-10=90
90-9=81
81-8=72
72-7=65
65-6=59
59-6=53
53-5=48
48-5=43
43-4=39
39-4=35
35-4=31

In ten years 100 goes to 31. That’s pretty good. But let’s pray it gets wiped out a lot sooner.

Or your post is yet another excuse to make folks like yourself feel justified in voting for a candidate who will never win, or a candidate who supports expanding abortion rights.

But keep being a buzzkill when it comes to taking positives steps in a long, arduous fight.
 
No, as the abolitionists were not happy with Black Americans counting as 3/5ths of a person, many of us are no longer going to settle.
 
We call that free elections in the US. For some of us, presidential votes mean diddly squat, but we can elect a Congress of people who believe in life from conception til natural death!

Perfect is the enemy of good. I will take the progress of them losing 10% because what it has exposed is that as a result, after years of defending the need for federal funding, Planned Parenthood has admitted they do not need federal aid anyway. They are a bunch of murderous frauds, and at least now they (sort of) admit it.

For some of us, presidential votes mean a lot, congressional votes mean a lot, local elections can mean something, and prayer, support and outreach mean a ton.
