This hymn got me through a time when I was very down because my house was destroyed in a hurricane … this is another hurricane and I am hoping this hymn will again help me to Praise our Lord throughout everything I have to go through.

I find Jeremiah 29:11 (if I remember the verse) helpful. The gist is

I know the plans I have for you, plans for peace and not disaster. It reminds me that even if things are not going how I would plan them they are going according to Gods plan, and while I may not be able to see it, his plan is better.

Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints,

your love for God and Charity for His creatures made you worthy,

when on earth, to possess miraculous powers.

Miracles waited on your word,

which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety.

Encouraged by this thought,

I implore of you to obtain for me

Good health for Katherine438

The answer to my prayer may require a miracle.

Even so, you are the saint of Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony,

whose heart was ever full of human sympathy,

whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus,

who loved to be folded in your arms,

and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.

Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Katherine438). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Katherine438’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Beautiful prayers … thank you all.

So many kind and caring people on this forum … may God Bless you all.

Praying for you 🙏🙏🙏

Lord, I come before you today for Katherine in need of your healing hand. In you all things are possible. Hold her heart within yours, and renew her mind, body, and soul.

I am lost, but I am singing. You gave us life, and you also give us the gift of infinite joy. Give her the strength to move forward on the path you’ve laid out for her. Guide her towards better health, and give her the wisdom to identify those you’ve placed around her to help her get better.

In your name I pray,
Amen.
🙏

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins my Mother;
to thee do we come; before thee do we stand, sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer us.

Amen

Thank you for your continued prayers … I have an appointment with a doctor on Wednesday at 9 am … this doctor handles kidney cancer … so I am hoping we will at least get all the tests I need done and maybe even a biopsy before my appointment at Sloan Kettering on October 29.

They moved up my appointment at Sloan Kettering to the 19th of October … still seeing the urologist kidney specialist on Wednesday … feeling pretty down … read a few things on the internet and pretty scared that this cancer has already spread.

Thank you for your prayers … I really do need them.

God Bless

Katherine

If you can stop researching on the internet. As you have seen it makes things worse.

If you haven’t received the annointing of the sick I would ask about it. It may bring you peace of mind.

I know it is difficult but I find distracting myself with other things to help when I’m going through a rough time.

Continuing to pray for you and your family.

I agree, don’t read any further. It doesn’t always apply and it doesn’t serve any purpose. Put your trust in God.

Continued prayers for you, dear friend.

Going to look into the annointing of the sick … thanks for bringing that to my attention.

I’m the type of person that wants to know everything … so hard to stop researching … I’ve been sick with lupus for 35 years now … so I’m used to doing medical research. If you only go to sites that are responsible sites for the disease you are researching, you get good information … but at the same time the pains I am feeling that could mean the cancer spread could also be explained away by my lupus. So maybe researching isn’t such a good idea.

Thanks for being such a great source of inspiration.

I am having problems praying for myself … always had that problem … I can pray for everyone else, but when it comes to me, I simply have problems with it. Did take a moment today to talk with Jesus … He’s always there for me … He did me a favor about 8 years ago and let me know that He really heard my prayer … so I’m as sure of Him as could possibly be … which should help me if this is as serious as it could be.

Thanks for the prayers, and thanks for stopping by to say hello.

Continuing to pray or you Katherine. I will say “don’t borrow trouble” when it comes to researching and worrying. That’s something I can not often follow for myself, but it ultimately does help.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women
And Blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.

Amen

As a reminder: Many others and I are praying for you, and God loves you…
