Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Hi Cassie - just a little note to let you know that I still am praying for you and John. I hope you’re enjoying the summer so far. God bless! :hug1: :gopray:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Prayers:crossrc

Just passing on something I heard today that might help you in your journey.
Remember that in 1 John it says “Perfect love cast out fear” and that you should think of the word “fear” meaning: False, Evidence, Appearing, Real. Also the word “trust” meaning: True Resolve Under Severe Testing.

This was helpful for me and hopefully you as well.

In Him,

Thank you all my friends for your continued prayers, they mean so much to me!

I haven’t been on the forum for awhile, but know that you all are in my prayers even when I don’t post.

John and I had a set back last month. It hurt me deeply, but we are still working on our relationship. We have both admitted that we love each other yet, but there are still things that we have to resolve and it will take time. I have been patience this long trying to let God lead the way. It isn’t always the easy way or the way that I would chose, but I know that He is leading me to what is right for me. I feel that if John and I are not meant to be, time will let me know. Some things that have happened I have immediately took as a sign that God wants me to move on, but I have always taken the time to reflect and think about it. Many that have been where I have been would have given up a long time ago. I believe that life is a continual challenge and that our rewards will not be here on Earth, but in Heaven with our Father, that has what kept me going in the direction that I have been taken. I pray that the Lord be with all of you and thank you again for your continued prayers!

Dear Cassie, I am so deeply sorry for your pain. You are in my prayers.

Praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Cassie,
I still have been following your thread and praying for you. Your love, patience and suffering for your husband and Jesus is so beautiful. You are a wonderful example of holiness.
I have a dear Catholic friend whose husband left her for another woman when she was pregnant with their sixth child. After a few years she was able to pray for her husband. She prayed for 30 years. Two years ago her husband repented to her and to God and begged her to let him come back to her. I see them together at mass and they are so happy. So you are right miracles do happen. Praying for you and John, Cassie.

Dear Cassie,

I will continue to remember you in prayer! What you said about our reward not being on Earth but in Heaven is very important to keep in mind - others may say this and that about what to do and, although they may mean well, their advice may not be what God has in mind for you, John and your family. Ultimately, when we suffer much on Earth, if we do our best with God’s Grace to do as He asks, follow His Commandments, and live as good Catholics, we can be comforted in the hope that He will take away all our pain in the **eternal **life hereafter.

Thank you very much for your prayers for us in turn - I am very grateful for them.

With prayers,
Siobhán. (a.k.a. nahbios)

P.S. By the way, I’m sure you’re already doing this, but make sure to take some time for spiritual reading too! I really ought to be doing more myself :o, but I love it - it does help to bring you closer to God.

Since my first thread has been closed I decided to open a new one. Thank you all for being on this journey with me with your prayers and words of encouragement and hope.

Our niece is doing better and they have removed the tubes from her. Both John and I are very thankful for this.

For those of you who have followed my first thread, John and I continue to get along and he is thinking about getting work closer to home. I don’t know what that means for our relationship since we are divorced, but I am letting God handle it. My emotions continue on a roller coaster ride, but not so many lows anymore. When I have a bad day I spend extra time in prayer because it helps.

I will continue to pray for all intentions posted on here, may God bless you!
God loves every one of us, and is always there for you in your toughest times , to hold you and guide you through every hardship, and to help you in times of tears and joy. I am praying for you and your family

MARIAN PRAYERS OF
SAINT ALPHONSUS LIGOURI # 1
(A.D. 1696-1787)
Shelter Me Under Your Mantle

Most holy Virgin Immaculate,
my Mother Mary,
to you who are the Mother of my Lord,
the Queen of the Universe,
the Advocate,
the hope,
the refuge of sinners,
I who am the most miserable of all sinners,
have recourse this day.
I venerate you,
great queen,
and I thank you for the many graces
you have bestowed upon me
even unto this day;
in particular for having delivered me
from the hell
which I have so often served by my sins.

I love you, my dearest Lady;
and because of that love,
I promise to serve you willingly for ever
and to do what I can
to make you loved by others also.

I place in you all my hopes for salvation;
accept me as your servant
and shelter me under your mantle,
you who are the Mother of Mercy.
And since you are so powerful with God,
deliver me from all temptations,
or at least obtain for me
the strength to overcome them until death.

From you I implore a true love for Jesus Christ.
Through you I hope to die a holy death.
My dear Mother,
by your love for Almighty God,
I pray you to assist me always,
but most of all at the last moment of my life.
Forsake me not then,
until you shall see me safe in heaven,
there to bless you
and sing of your mercies through all eternity.
Such is my hope.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed by Thy name
Thy kingdom come Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
