Dear cassie - prayers comin’ your way…Ave Maria, gratia plena…

Peace,

Gail

Thank you gailmac and rebusrms for your continued prayers. I had another difficult day and did quite a bit of praying because doubts and fears have crept into my mind all day. Finally on the way home my husband called and asked how my day went and asked me to do a few things for him at home. He still thinks that I should find someone else, but I told him I love him and care for him and he can’t change that because that is how I feel. I know he is torn up with how this is affecting me, but I continue to take it day by day because I know I have to try, believe and hope. I don’t know what will happen, but I need to know that I’ve done what I could. As much as I would like to be able to make him give up the other woman, I can’t, that is something he has to do and right now he is at a crossroads. I know and he knows that what he did and has done is a sin, but I have forgiven him and am trying everyday to turn this over completely to God. I finally got home and don’t feel the sadness that I have felt most of the day. I realize that I need to keep praying because it has helped me get this far. May all of you who are experiencing a simliar situation know that even though it is probably one of the hardest things that you may go through in life, God is always with you and cares very much. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like it because things don’t end up the way we want them, but God has other plans for us, don’t give up. May God Bless You All!

You and your husband are in my prayers each day, Cassie.

Here is a prayer from the Retrouvaille website:

Prayer to Saint Joseph
Based on Matthew 1:18-25

We ask your prayers, St. Joseph, an upright man, a spouse who planned to divorce Mary in secret and who by God’s grace was able to see his role in God’s plan.

We ask you in our behalf to pray to God that our marriage be healed. We are enveloped in pain and despair as you must have been when you learned of Mary’s pregnancy. Be for and with us, Joseph, in our hour of doubt. Let us listen to and heed the voice of God as you did.

Be our intercessor to your Jesus, to give us the blessings to change, to listen, to forgive and most of all to hope that our marriage will heal and our family remain whole and holy.

We give you honor, quiet St. Joseph, for you are a spouse like us, who while knowing pain, did not divorce. By God’s grace you nourished the Holy Family and the Savior of all families throughout the ages.
Amen.

May the PEACE of Christ be always with you.

Sill in my prayers Cassie, will remember you at this weekend’s Mass…

Please pray that my husband will let Jesus Christ enter his heart and that he will give our marriage a chance. He will be coming back the 17th to talk and I pray that time has let him search his heart and realize that he would like to give this marriage a chance. I pray that this will be God’s will.
praying for you:gopray:

Thank you po18guy, simon, and marca37 for your continued prayers. I spent most of today with my husband’s family whom I find great comfort with. I went to our fall church dinner with my sister-in-law and had a good time. She then proceeded to take me shopping for a new outfit for the cruise that we are going on next week. It helped being with her, she is such a good and supporting person. I really don’t want to be divorced from such a loving family. I will see my husband next Friday and then we will be spending a whole week together without interruptions. I am praying for a miracle during this time with him. His job is becoming more demanding and he is not getting a lot of time off. I pray that he realizes that money is not the most important thing on earth, family and ones self are. He is such a hard worker that I am afraid he will work himself to death, but I pray each and everyday that God will watch out for him. I also pray and ask for forgiveness for this other woman because I believe this is what God wants. I cannot judge, that is not up to me, but I can ask that God also enter her heart and be with her even though it is a tough thing for me to ask for. Please continue to pray for all of us because there are times when I do feel really down and turn to this forum to find comfort along with my well-worn Bible. May God continue to bless all of you. Many of you are such an inspiration to me!

**Cassie-

Continue to pray the prayer to St. Joseph that I sent to you and have faith that your marriage will be healed. I am still praying for you and you husband. **:signofcross:

Thank you simon and shajek74 for your continued prayers. I have been praying to St. Joseph everyday since you sent me the prayer shajek74. I still believe that this marriage can be healed, but admit that there are times when I feel so depressed that I just cry. It is those times that I spend a great deal of time in prayer because I don’t want to give up. My husband is suffering so much from his depression that it hurts me not being able to be there and hold him. Maybe that is why this other woman entered the picture is because she can and I can’t because I am miles and miles away. I pray that in time we can be closer to each other. I miss him very much and tell him everyday that I love and care for him. I hope that he realizes how much I do love him and want him to be healed of his mental illness. I also continue to pray for the other woman and her family. Many may ask why I do this and it’s because it’s something God would want me to do. I admit it is hard, but I do it. Please continue to pray for my husband, he is suffering so much and needs the prayers. Thank you for your continued prayers and words of encouragement, may God bless you!
