Thank you all for your continued prayers!

I have been away from the forum for awhile, but please know that you are all in my prayers!

First, John’s uncle, Kenneth passed away yesterday. He was a World War II vet and was a very loving man, please keep him and John’s family in your prayers.

Second, I had something happen to me last Friday and the only way I can describe it is the hand of God was truly at work. I was at work and my cell phone rang, it was John and he sounded upset. He told me that he had something happen to him and that he had something to tell me. He said earlier that day one of the equipment operators had missed his ride up the mountain to the equipment so he asked John if he would give him a lift. John agreed. John said this operator is 62, divorced and his last wife died not long ago. They talked about life and how sometimes how we don’t see everything. They also talked about forgiveness and not listening. John said by the time they got to where they needed to be, John was in tears. He said he realized that he carried alot of anger and frustration from the past 30 years and aimed a lot of it towards me. He told me he was truly sorry for that. He also told me in all the years we were married he never forgave me for the things I had done that he didn’t like, for which I apologized for. He told me that he forgave me and I started to cry. I was preparing myself to keep on living without John’s forgiveness, because that was something that had to come from him. John told me that it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of him and he hadn’t felt that way in a long time. He told me he thought God was trying to get him attention, but he didn’t listen so he sent someone that God thought John would listen to and he did. Neither one of us know if we will get back together, but we do know that we have forgiven each other. John has asked if he has gone too far for me to take him back and I said no. I continue to pray for us and know that God has His own timetable and that I have to continue to let Him help the both of us. I also know that your continued prayers have been heard and know that all of you are in mine. May the Lord bless all of you!

Your sister in Christ,
Cassie
Cassie, this is an amazing turn of events! I will continue to pray for you and John.

Praying the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Dear Cassie,
Just saw post Aug 30th - how wonderful! Praying for you, John and family that things will continue to proceed in a positive way, Praying also to St. Edward the Confessor, patron of difficult marriages and separated spouses…

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Loving Father, we beseech You to pour out Your love and graces upon Cassie and John drawing them together in the love that had attracted them to one another at the start. Grant healing unto them, both for Cassie’s heart and for John’s mind and spirit. As they took note of their anniversary, may they be rejoined as they were once joined for the duration of this life. Grant this through the intercession of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Your only Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

For Cassie and her husband to reconcile their marriage and live in love of each other.

Novena Prayer to
St. Anthony of Padua

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints,
your love for God, and Charity for his creatures,
made you worthy, when on earth, to possess
miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your
word, which you were ever ready to speak
for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by
this thought, I implore for you to obtain for me,
petition here]
The answer to my prayers may require a miracle.
Ever so, you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle
and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full
of human sympathy, whisper my petitions into
the ears of thy Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved
to be folded in your arms, and the gratitude
of my heart will ever be yours
Amen.

Cassie, I’ve been away from CAF for a while and I’m simply delighted to read your message. Please know that I’m still praying for you and John (as well as your younger son and daughter-in-law). May the Lord have mercy on Kenneth’s soul and bring him safely home to Him. :gopray:
