Please pray for my son to continue gaining weight

Hey everyone. Would you all please pray for my son, Colton? He has a lot of trouble gaining weight because of a problem where he won’t eat enough. He has a feeding tube that was surgically put into his belly so we can give him extra calories. The problem is that he sometimes pukes and then he doesn’t get all of the calories. We are working with the doctors as closely as we can to get the puking under control and we have got it under control fairly well but it’s still a precarious situation as the slightest mistake or problem can make him puke sometimes. For example, if he gets too upset or too active after a tube feeding, he will puke. Another problem is that when he gets sick, that makes him a LOT more likely to puke because if he coughs too hard, he pukes. We’re trying our best to control the puking but he can’t puke more than about twice a week or he won’t gain weight. We’re supposed to see a Pediatric Gastroenterologist about his puking soon and they have also talked about the possibility of using a feeding tube pump instead of doing gravity feeds. Anyway, I would GREATLY appreciate your prayers. He’s at a normal weight but he’s pretty low on the growth chart and he can’t afford to lose any weight at all. An optimal weight gain would be 1 lb every 2 weeks.

Yes, we shall pray for you, but you need to pray too. Remember that sometimes prayer won’t be answered immediately. It will take some time. In the mean time, do whatever you can and trust your doctor.
