Hi everyone. Thank you very much for your continued prayers. I greatly appreciate them.

Anyway, we are still waiting for next Monday, April 1st, when Colton will be admitted to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis to hopefully figure out what is going on with him. There is the question of whether or not we’ll have a ride or gas money to get there but we have a Medicab scheduled. It’s just a question as to whether or not they show up. They have had a bad habit of not assigning a driver to use in the past and we know of many other people who have had the same issue with them. Nevertheless, if they don’t show up, my son’s dad’s roommate is planning to take us so long as we have the gas money. Please pray that we would definitely be able to get up there and that we would have the funds necessary for our trip and our stay.

Hi everyone. Thank you again for your prayers.

Anyway, Colton has developed another issue with his feeding tube. He has what is called a mic-key button which was surgically put into his stomach when he was 1 1/2 years old so we could tube feed him. After it was inserted, he developed granulation tissue around the stoma (the whole in his belly where the mickey button is) and it leaked a little boost out which would cause a buildup around the mickey button too. Well, this is happening again. There has been talk in the past about possibly needing to give him a different size of mickey button since he’s getting older. I don’t know if they’ll need to do another surgery or what. They will have to treat the granulation tissue with an ointment like they did in the past though because it can become infected.

As for the vomiting, he has not vomited at all this week. He has been on Spring Break all week and hasn’t been at school. The vomiting almost always occurs at school and not at home.

Anyway, please continue to keep Colton in your prayers. I will update you as often as I can.

Hey everyone. Thank you very much for your prayers for my son.

Anyway, we just got home from Riley Hospital this evening. We had been there since Monday. They did not do the MRI on his brain while we were there like we thought they would. They want to do that as an outpatient procedure and there’s the possibility that they won’t do it now since they tried something else. They tried changing his feeding schedule. Instead of getting 8 oz of Boost Kid Essentials 1.5 3 times a day in his feeding tube along with food he is now getting 6 oz of Pediasure 1.0 5 times a day with food. They think that the reason why he was throwing up at school was because he was eating so much more at school and so he was getting overloaded. They also think that the Boost Kid Essentials 1.5 was too hard on his stomach since it’s a calorie dense formula. So anyway, Colton is with his daddy tonight and then I will have him this weekend. I will keep everyone updated about how he is doing. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Hopefully this strategy will finally work and he will start gaining weight again and not throw up anymore.
