Hi everyone. Colton had a weight check today. Unfortunately he lost 11 ounces between his last weight check and now. His primary doctor is at a loss as to what’s going on. Colton has an appointment with a Pediatric Gastroenterologist tomorrow so hopefully we can get some answers on his puking.

Hey everyone. My son’s dad and I took Colton to his Pediatric Gastroenterologist appointment on Thursday, March 7. His doctor told us to give us a few days and he would call us back. He called us back the next day and told us that he wants Colton to have a test on Wednesday, March 13. They are going to give him food with dye in it and watch it go through his stomach. I am not entirely sure but I think they are checking to make sure that his stomach is emptying properly as there has been concern about that with his primary care provider in the past. Please continue to pray that we will get this issue with his puking resolved as soon as possible! Thank you!

Hi everyone. We went to Riley Hospital for Colton’s test yesterday. He had to eat some eggs or toast with jelly on it that was mixed with a radioactive dye and then they took images of his stomach with a cat scan machine to see if his stomach was emptying correctly or not. Towards the end, he needed to eat two more bites of eggs in order to have enough food and dye in in his stomach to do the test but he didn’t want to eat the last two bites. We had quite the struggle getting him to eat it. I asked Saint Jude to pray that he would eat it since Saint Jude is the patron saint of difficult and impossible situations. We finally got the last two bites down him thanks be to God and were able to do the test. The results of the test came back today and it was normal.

David called the hospital and asked what we are going to do next and members of the Pediatric Gastroenterology team are speaking with each other about it and there is a possibility that Colton will be admitted to Riley Hospital. We are just waiting to hear back from them.

Please continue to keep Colton in your prayers. Thank you.
 
I remember you and all your intentions today, as I prayed the Rosary in front of Our Lord during my weekly
hour guarding The Host at my Perpetual Adoration Chapel.

Hi everyone. We are going to take Colton to Riley Hospital again in the morning because now they want to do an MRI of his brain. We are hoping that the medical transportation company we use shows up because they don’t always show up. It’s the only company we can use with Medicaid and unfortunately they are notoriously unreliable for us and for many other people. We probably won’t have another way to get to our appointment so if they don’t show up then we will probably have to reschedule. Please pray that we can make it to our appointment tomorrow.

Also, please pray for Colton’s healing of a sickness he is going through. He has had a low fever the past couple of days along with some other gastrointestinal symptoms. We have told his primary care doctor about it and will tell his Gastroenterologist about it when we see him next. We also called Riley Hospital and notified the Gastroenterology Team of his illness because we weren’t sure if they would be able to sedate him and do the MRI with his current illness. They told us that we could go ahead and bring him and that his own Gastroenterologist would get in touch with us in the morning if he wants us to wait. The only problem with that is that we have to leave before his office opens up in the morning in order to get to his appointment on time and so we may not know for sure whether or not they will do the MRI until we get there.

Hey everyone. Thank you very much for your prayers for Colton.

Anyway, we were unable to get his MRI done today for two reasons. The first reason is because our medical transportation company rejected our ride request. The second reason is because Colton’s Pediatric Gastroenterologist chose to cancel the MRI for now because of Colton’s illness.

Colton’s dad just told me a few minutes ago that they are going to admit Colton to Riley Hospital as an (name removed by moderator)atient on April 1. I’m not sure what all they are going to do but I imagine they are going to run tests on him and such. Please continue to keep him in your prayers!
