I would think fire raining from the sky would be a negative, but you lowlanders are a little cooler I hear.
Fixed.
Very, very few tornadoes (maybe one a year?) and almost entirely on the eastern plains. AND it’s an opportunity to clean out and start again.
That’s one more a year than we get!!
Really, with all that moisture? Is it just too cold for them all year?:winter: And don’t you make up for it with your high number of tics?
Like I said, my sis’s place gets them, but I hardly see them anywhere else.
Plus, I’ve never EVER seen a tick out here.
NEVER!! And I have lived here for most of my life!
Plus, its not too cold out here! The summers get warm, but not HORRENDOUS like I’m sure Colorado gets!
Um, I think Colorado “wins” on this one – you can keep your liberals, thanks very much. And most of our liberals are in Boulder County for safe keeping
Probably, but I don’t pay attention to those people. I generally stick to me friends at Church.
Thank you for agreeing with me. Very noble.
That’s us Oregonians.
Perhaps, but we have elk (the males look like horses with tree branches on their heads). And our prong-horn sheep are simply lovely. And I bet we have more prairie dogs than you!
PSFFT!
We have ELK! BIG ELK!
We have deer, squirrels, Coyotes, Chipmunks, Vultures, Hawks, Snakes…Everything you can think of…And we might have Prairie dogs…I’m not sure, though…I seem to remember seeing them somewhere…
But I’ll bet we have bigger elk
Fewer people? And just why would that be?

After all, Siberia, Greenland, the Sahara Desert, Australia’s Outback – they’re all bigger with fewer people, too.
There’s nothing wrong with Australia
But what he means is there’s plenty of room out here. More than Colorado.
Wow, a whole year of non-stop mowing…
NO!! I mow my lawn sometimes in the fall, but I don’t mow it again until spring.
Can you say “four
distinct seasons”? We win!
Let’s see…Summer is hot, very little rain…Fall is cooler, a little sunny, but a good amount of rain…Winter…Snow or rain, still sunshine in there…Spring…Sun! Like right now! There was rain, too! But the weather shifts rapidly (In a good way) around here!
We also have a plethora of official state symbols and emblems! The newest one was proposed by a class of fourth graders – the teacher who supported them currently works at my school.
colorado.gov/dpa/doit/archives/history/symbemb.htm
We have state animals, birds, trees and state awesomeness.
plus, you can’t beat the Oregon Duck…he’s DONALD for crying out loud!
Oh, yeah!

YEAH!!
Of course, the movie “Goonies” takes place in Oregon, so that’s definitely a plus for you.
And Twilight! Don’t forget that one!
And Free Willy!
