Praise God for this archbishop who stands firm in the Catholic faith! Don’t be surprised when you see divisions in this regard. Approved private revelation, especially within the last 100 years, shows that this will be happening. Beware and stand strong in the teachings of the Church!A Polish archbishop who participated in the Synod for the Family has cautioned against a “pseudo-merciful” attitude toward irregular marital unions.Archbishop Henryk Hoser of …

All of us are sinners, and we need God’s mercy.Well…what does he mean?
Who has a “pseudo-merciful” attitude toward irregular marital unions? (and is he saying one should be *very *merciful…or not merciful at all?)
And the entire synod and it’s aftermath has yielded tons of discussion about marriage in the church…how has “political correctness” hampered it? Everyone is discussing it! That was the whole point of the synod and why so many views were heard.
Also…there’s no hard and fast rule that the gospels or the word “sin” must be quoted in the synod’s working document. The teachings were there. The working document is the agenda of what topics are being covered during their discussions, it’s not about what is a sin or not.
He certainly doesn’t sound “pseudo-merciful”. In this Holy Year of Mercy, he doesn’t sound merciful even a little bit.
.
My guess:I’d love to know how the archbishop distinguishes “mercy” from “pseudo-mercy.” I wonder if he considers this the “Year of Pseudo-Mercy.”
I think you are correct. pseudo-mercy is a false mercy, and a false belief that is beginning to be accepted. May God Bless this archbishop and all the bishops and priests willing to defend the true Church teachings. My guess:
Mercy is where you forgive people for their sins after they repent because God can forgive anything when asked with a contrite heart and a desire to do better…
Pseudo-mercy is where you tell them their sin is really fine and there’s no need to repent because God will forgive them no matter what even if they intend to stay in sin.
