Yes, Florida and Texas are reaping the benefits of what we learned from New York in that we will have fewer deaths as a percentage, which is good, but did it really have to happen?

No, it didn’t. Communist China could have done far more, been more open and honest.
WHO could have been less of a doormat for the Chinese government.
Some of our national leaders, including Trump and Pelosi, and state and local leaders like DeBlasio, could have been a little more cautious. But this second is the result of the first.

Not really. This second is a result of not learning from the first.

The first was hidden by a hideous regime that had no regard for the lives of millions around the world.

Texas and Florida saw what happened and could have.been much more careful, but decided to flaunt rules that would have protected their citizens. Now here we are.

Protect them how? It is a virus. It will spread, and the damage of a prolonged shutdown is more dangerous than the virus itself. Florida and Texas have had more success than others because they did learn from what happened early on. Obviously, since their deaths per million or about 1/5 that of New York and New Jersey

And that’s why you don’t know about the complaints.

Because they got what they needed.

I can name states that have a lot fewer and less costly disasters. The Midwest and Northeast have much fewer natural disasters than the Atlantic and Gulf Coast South.

Tell that to those who live in tornado ally, have dealt with floods along the Mississippi, droughts and wildfires in the West.
Grownups run all of these states. Make plans to deal with events that happen do you can help your residents. That’s what state governments are supposed to do.
