It seems the media “forgot” to put the last 2 sentences in their quotes of his. Sound byte editing.

When I checked this out about 2 years back when I was blogging at the CSPAN website, this tallied well with the tables of the Bell Curve which had tables for 5% and then I think 2% and then 1% but none for 4 %. In the production of jobs, I would suggest that the US reform its Patent and Copyright Laws. If I were a songwriter, the moment I make a new song and publicize it, INSTANTLY I have copyright ownership for the song and the Copyright office I think will charge me a $35 fee to formalize it with a copyright certificate.

Not so with an invention or experimental invention, Mr Keating. In the case of an invention which may have to be protected say by 10 patent numbers, the patent lawyer may want $5,000 for each patent number or $50,000 for the 10. Over the 17 year life of the patent, the patent office wants something like $25,000 for each patent number or $250,000 for the 10. $300,000 to fully protect an invention. Where will a poor inventor get $300,000??? And the US government does not even want to pay a single cent when it uses the invention!!! Unless the inventor spends another huge sum to go to court and lawyers.

But God who is the source of all creation and creativity, He knows to whom He gave the inspiration. Unjust laws made by the special interests end up as laws that make Johnny come latelies and thieves and the wrong people and the government and the public domain the owners of the inventions. In the biographies of inventors, authors observed and wrote that, “POVERTY IS THE MOTHER OF BOTH NECESSITY AND INVENTIONS.”

A country needs inventions to give jobs to people manufacturing, distributing, selling new products and providing new services. That’s how jobs were produced during the time of Malthus and the Industrial Revolution. Even during the great depression, that solution of Keynes, that was a “NON-OBVIOUS PROCESS”, AN INVENTION FOR A PROCESS!!! Even this recent jump of the US employment rate to 96.1% and the huge increase in the GDP produced!!! Even this always near 95% employment policy of Greenspan!!!

How can a country encourage inventors to invent if the true inventors they cheat, extort huge fees. Many of these inventors, as evidenced by a patent office application form for the relatives of an inventor gone insane or is dead, indeed made useful inventions that are sold commercially in the market place. But the strain on the inventor has already sent the inventor to the assylum or grave. That is no way to encourage inventors to invent. Yet in the US Constitution itself which all presidents and congressmen and heads of departments swore to uphold and defend, article 1, section 8, clause 8 MANDATES CONGRESS TO ENCOURAGE INVENTIONS. That’s right, non-obvious solutions which are also called inventions are what can bring about 100% employment or even negative unemployment plus high GDP and in so doing CAUSE THE CRIME RATE MENTIONED BY BILL BENNET TO GO WAY WAY DOWN!!!

Do you know what a QUOTA is???

There is a quota of 95% employmment cutoff. That simply means that 5% or MORE THAN 5% WILL BE LEFT UNEMPLOYED!!!
How are people prevented from working???

Greenspan looks at the employment rate. When the employment rate is approaching 95%, meaning more and more people are getting employed and unless Greenspan does something the employment rate will exceed 95%, THIS IS WHAT GREENSPAN DOES: GREENSPAN RAISES THE FED FUNDS RATE BY A QUARTER POINT. BANKS THEN RAISE THEIR INTEREST RATES. RESULT IS, EMPLOYERS CUT ON THEIR EXPENSES AND FIRE OFF WORKERS OR STOP ADDING WORKERS.

In the recent past, did you hear companies hiring workers??? At the same time, look at what Greenspan was doing. He was doing a series of quarter point increases in the Fed Funds rate. Why??? Because that is the central bank’s or Federal Reserve’s way of FIRING WORKERS!!!

You can study and get as much education and experience you like. BUT THE FACT IS, THE INTENTION OF GREENSPAN IS TO KEEP 5% OR MORE OF YOU UNEMPLOYED.

If you want to be charitable to somebody at the 5% bottom pile don’t give somebody a few dollars for Christmas. This is what you can do. DO NOT GET EMPLOYED!!! JOIN THE RANKS OF THE UNEMPLOYED!!! Your “Poor Bill Bennet” has his solution to the crime rate problem. And it is a solution that is UNCHRISTIAN AND CONTRARY TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

Eurasian has a solution to the crime rate problem. Bill Bennett is a Catholic and I can assure everyone he is not for abortion or a racist. His thoughts were taken out of context and widely misunderstood. I would encourage anyone to go back, and read the entire transcript. In reality, like it or not, if the scenario he described happened, crime would go down, a lot.

As a black professor said on Fox News the other night, we are ignoring the elephant in the room. We are afraid to face the fact that blacks commit more crimes than any other group. He pointed out that the population of blacks makes up 10% of the US total, but 50% of the Federal prision population is black. What does that suggest? Are the police framing that many blacks? No, blacks commit more crimes. It’s just that simple.

Now, what can we, as a nation do about it? Obviously, throwing billions of dollars at it doesn’t work. No, the fix is going to have to come from within the black community. The black community is going to have to revitalize the family unit, in order to raise children that will be productive members of society. Any race, who’s children are primarily fatherless, who’s siblings are from many different fathers and born of children who have no education are doomed. In general, the only roll models they have are gangstas and thugs. Just watch some rap videos to see who black youth admires.

For example, there are few black pilots. Some have commented that white pilots receive far more admiration from white kids, than they receive from black kids. That admiration they do see from black kids is from the youngest, but it quickly fades to resentment as the kids age. The kids find new heros in rappers, gangstas and thugs. The strong family unit is simply not there to direct them as they mature.

Before any of this can get better, many, many blacks are going to have to realize that THEY are the problem, and THEY are the solution. God and family values is the answer.

This is just another example of the failure of Socialized Governments. Government that take the place of God, and Mother and Father. You have people who are dependant on a system which fail often. Before the great society and welfare only 22% of black children where born out of wedlock. Now in some inner cities it is 80% of all black children are born out of wedlock. The number of white children born out of wedlock was 8% now it is 20 to 30% I am not exactly certain the percentage but it is substainally higher. Without intact families we as a nation is doom to fall.
People have been preaching this idea without much support since G.K. Chesterton. If you would like a good book to read on the subject I suggest that you read Dr. Thomas Sowell book “Black Rednecks and White Liberal”. Dr. Sowell is a black professor of economics.
Maybe it is time to end the war on poverty after 40 years it looks like we are losing. It is time for stronger Churchs and stronger families.

So if he would have said the poor, you would have said he hates the poor? If he had said males, you would have said he hates men?

Sure I guess saying a racial makes it a racial component, it certainly isn’t denying race, but to say that it is a racist remark is absured. I’m sure you should tell all those people that said because they where black they didn’t get help they should that they should apologize for saying racist remarks too.

I think maybe you could make a better arguement that Bennet hates black people if he said that it would have been moral, but no he said it was immoral. If he hates black people I don’t see how you can make those comments by those remarks alone.

Technically any group that has a higher crime rate than the average, if they would have been aborted would have lowered the crime rate. He gave an absurd answer to an absured question.

   From Bennets remarks I cannot see how you can come down with him thinking one race is supeior to another. You maybe can assume it, but you cannot make that connection.

   But I do know, being raised Catholic, that you apologize when you insult people and that you don’t have to intend to cause harm in order to so. It’s so easy to say, “I’m sorry,” and to mean it. But it requires humility, and I think that for Mr. Bennett, that may be a problem.

From what I can tell, he was simply stating the facts of the matter and trying to make a point that you wouldn’t want to eliminate a certain type of people to produce a desired result (lowering prison populations). I think you are making more out of this than is there.
