I’m incredibly happy for L.A., but, unfortunately, in my experience a good, orthodox Archbishop doesn’t mean the end of liturgical dancing. Here in St. Louis we’ve had Raymond Burke and now Robert Carlson, and we are still having to put up w/ liturgical dancing.

At my parish they’ve renamed it “Ministry of danced prayer”

and it was being restricted to just the processional and recessional, but they’ve gotten bold again and are back at it during the Alleluia and Gloria as well. Luckily, it’s only a few times a year. My guess is that the Archbishop has “bigger fish to fry” and the liturgical abuses get placed on the back burner to be dealt with at a later time?
In Christ,
