I think you’re thinking in social and cultural/educational terms (perhaps ancestral) and not just in terms of wealth or income.Arriviste or Bourgeois. Hardly classy
But I can’t really delve into distinctions beyone arriviste or bourgeois, having virtually no knowledge of anyone beyond that level. As a petit bourgeois in every way one can name, I do not travel in the truly “upper class” circles.
(My wife may claim I have peasant manners at times, but I think that’s only when she’s angry.)
